Field Herping Went Great!!!!! ( INDENT PLEASE )

Take only pictures, leave only footprints.

Footprints can harm fragile plants and lead to erosion on sensitive soil. Don't even leave footprints. Leave the ghost of footprints. Better yet, leave the memory of the ghost of footprints.....and a weak memory like that...like one seen through a foggy windshield of a car. LOOK OUT. You just hit a deer. Never drive with a foggy windshield. Ever.

But it's with Obama's birth certificate.

What? Some random guy we never heard of claims he say the permit, so law enforcement shouldn't need to see it for themselves? LOL.

Well. I'm not going to go argue with a petulant child on the internet, so after this I'm done, but people simply pointing out that you need a permit to keep wild caught animals (which is correct) isn't "nagging" or being rude. It's the truth. Also, I've been quite polite in the midst of all your childishness and I don't appreciate being offered the attitude. Go away now please.

:roflmao: that's some good rambling my friend.

I know in VA I am allowed to have as many as I want of these
Corns
Eastern Kings
Mole king
I can have 5 of everything else,

The first is deff a Dekay's Brown snake, the second is a queen snake. Both should be let go.

Have to agree here. First off, neither should have been kept for more than a night if conditions in the field were too bad to photograph, aka starting to rain, etc..., it puts undue stress on the snakes and both of these species are fragile anyways. Browns are terrible out of the wild and Queens, from what I've heard, are even worse. So, do yourself a favor and let'em go. I also have to say that you seemed to get very defensive when people were trying to help you stay out of trouble by telling you you need to have the proper documentation for you state, then you came back and stated that you have the permits. Next time, if you're not lying obviously, just state that you have the permits and understand that people are trying to help you stay out of trouble, but mostly wanting to watch out for the animals they love!

I hope everything works out, advice is heeded, and you continue to enjoy Field Herping. It's a great past time and a great way to view herps in their true environment, but that's where they should stay - in their environment.

PR

The first rule of Field Herping is to make CERTAIN that you have ALL the necessary permits, licenses and paperwork in place BEFORE you go out looking...even if you DON'T plan on keeping them.

The second rule of Filed Herping is that you do NOT collect an animal which you do not know enough about to PROPERLY care for. Obviously...if you don't know what it is, you can't properly care for it. Bringing them home, posting here for an ID and than searching for a suitable caresheet is NOT an acceptable way to collect animals from the wild.

The third rule of Field Herping, and the first rule of Responsible Field Collection, is to never take an animal that you cannot provide a healthy, happy, and THRIVING environment for. Again...if you don't know wha5t it is you simply cannot provide this environment for them.

Yoyu have acted irresponsibly on every step you have taken with this post. As far as I can see, people have been quite pleasant, given the situation. It's not "nagging"...it's informing. You have a lot to learn...
