got banned from k mart.

I'm afraid she is right, maybe that is the attraction.

Dude, -14-.

i LOVE how people tell me how to act when i go into the service. i think i know alot about the service and how to act. all my friends are marines my dad my grandpa my uncles were all marines. i think i know how to act. if people were never in the service please do not tell me what will happen. i already know.

Well... I've served for three years in the Israeli military... be prepared to be accountable for every single misshap- even if it is not really your fault...
I remember being screamed at in Tank commanding course by my commander... there was a technical problem in the brakes on the tank- and due to it the tank slid forward- basically moved when no one signaled for it to move... I had to push down on the brakes with my whole body, sweating insanely for like 5 minutes... it was lucky I managed to lock the brakes eventually...
So I came out of the tank, and explained it would not lock- the commander screamed at me, shouting I didn't try hard enough even if I am drenched with sweat.
Of course, I wasn't punished for it... but I somehow doubt you will restrain yourself enough in such a situation...

Many people said that being an adult means learning to exert self restraint... well, I wish that would have been the case, but it's not... there are many impulsive people out there, who are overly aggressive and to be perfectly honest- dangerous.

It doesn't matter if you're going to join the army or not... it is a choice you have to make for yourself. You are very busy declaring how no one has any control over you, and how you deserve respect... respect is earned and willingly given... you can't take it... unless you want to be a criminal that is...

You hope to have children one day I imagine... do you want to burst out like that on one of them? on your girlfriend maybe?
If that's the kind of person you're okay with being... that's quite alright, I am not in the position to judge- just sharing my opinion that it's something I wouldn't want to do myself.

No one never gets angry... but I can honestly say I don't assault people- physically or verbally... if I get really ticked off I can reduce them to ashes eloquently(and I do not need to swear to do it).... but that's rare.

Like it or not... the majority of young people aren't taken to the police... most customers are welcomed in K-mart and I imagine at least most of them are satisfied enough to continue putting their money there...
The reality you experience is not the norm, the world is not filled with cowards and you are not the only "brave soul that stands up against the oppressors".

I wasn't there, I do believe though that it would be in your best interest to try and find a productive way to calm yourselves... it is quite easy to find a reason to pick up a fight... it is a deal harder to know how to channel your energies towards the things that really matter.

Listen to Oren. If there is anyone who can put a situation into perspective it is him. Oren is probably 1 of the most well spoken individuals I have every had the luck to listen to. I think you also to heed his words and try to change yourself before going into the service.
Regardless of what you say. We see your actions and words and build our own opinions of you and trust me, for most of us it isn't a pretty picture. Please Dude, listen to what has been said to you and try to right your actions and words before the service spits you out as a no good human they tried to make right.

Perhaps I misunderstand, but do you think that I am 14, Oren?
If thats the case, I'm afraid your mistaken. I'm 24. :p

Why was I led to believe you were a teenager?
Heck, from your wee avatar you could pass for 12. I always liked chit chatting cause I thought you were mature for your age.

Regardless, Wade, down boy :p

I love how people know what to expect the military to be like, when they have never been. :shrugs: Until your there or have done it, don't speak! I don't care who you know. You know NOTHING!

I watched a kid, a 17 year old kid, get a blanket party because he thought he was tough. He just mouthed off to the wrong person. It was so bad that it knocked him out. Then the guys that did it, picked him off the floor and threw him in his bunk and left. He cried for about three hours after.

He woke up the next morning and acted as if nothing happened but he never spoke out of turn again! So don't go and think your so tough. Your nothing until you earn your "Eagle, Globe and Anchor" (If your going into the marines)

I can tell you stuff that would make think twice before enlisting!

Wayne

You are sooo right, Wayne. I come from a marine family as well, and his posts about it just make me laugh (and wish I could be a fly on the wall!) I fear that our young Jason is in for a quite a reality check.

. she is my girlfriend not my mother she has no control over me. ill be in the parking lot and i will still come in to get my girl for break.

My Dad always used to say that in life there are two ways to learn your lessons. There is the easy way and the hard way. Lock_Off, I hope you realize that you are choosing the hard way. I do hope that it doesn't turn out too badly for you, but you have been warned that you are tempting fate by pushing the issue with Kmart. If you do get arrested, or if your girlfriend gets fired, or if she breaks up with you for messing up her job, or if you mouth off to the wrong person and get your behind handed to you please do not expect sympathy. Karma will always catch you eventually.

Yup. If this girl has a brain in her head she will run as fast as she can away from this guy. He is nothing but trouble and heartache. Life is much better if you spend your time avoiding destructive people.

Well, I'm all out of rep, but I just wanted to say,Lori, Wayne, Nancy, Dinah, Oren and Bethany, you've all made lovely points. I hope perhaps some of it is taken to heart.

Orin, You're good people too. ;)

Now hold on just one minute Mr. Oren, My intentions are nothing if not honorable. I think the world of Rosie and find her conversation delightful.

Remember what is good for the goose is good for the gander. I am very house broken and have never soiled a carpet.

Gee Rosie, I feel kind of left out of that statement.

Oh! Sorry Wade. Just wanted it to be clear, no hard feelings about the case of mistaken age. Some women can be touchy about that you know, although usually around the other way (you know, being mistaken for older than you are).
I guess now I owe you TWO kisses now, huh? :p

On your end maybe, I'm mad. And just because you're 25 doesn't make it ok for you to horn in on my girl. I saw her first.

:)

Not that I think Rosie wouldn't be a catch and all... but I am Jewish and live in the friggin' Middle East dude.... I think your gal is quite safe! :p

What, don't Jews like pretty girls. I'm in the US and she is in Canada. I think she is probably safe from both of us.

Depends on the Jew I suppose :poke:
More to the point though... my first girlfriend was actually American... and well... I don't see myself being with someone whose religion and tradition are different from my own... considering children and all.

But for God's sake man, how did you make me go into that?

Now let that be a lesson Oren, see how innocent flirting can lead way beyond where you intended it to go. You always have to be on your guard.

By the way, I admire your standards you have set for yourself. You seem to really know where you want to go in life. Many people cannot say that.
