Hallelujah, a pippy!

Jeff, I couldn't help it. All the recent blue bowl pics, and it just looked so appetizing. It wasnt as tasty as it looked.
I have another little blue bowl somewhere, I will have to find it when the third pip comes out since you don't like chewy one ;)
Bek, thanks I think the second one has a pretty nice vanishing pattern. If I didn't know the ghosts from these parents are a lot lighter I might have thought it was a ghost at first.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to ghosthousecorns again.

Congrats Jen. Do you have any Vanishing stripes/patterns at the Ghosthouse?
I bet they would look very nice.

When I hear "Vanishing" I think of those almost stripeless ones Jeff Mohr produces. Mine for the most part have some striping that vanishes a third or halfway down, but I like that look too. They do fade with age also.

Hatchling number 3... and a NEW blue bowl!

LOL this one has character...

My first ghost of the season!
Look at that perfect motley pattern! This is a kind of pink snake, so I found a matching pink bowl for it LOL

Well here is the latest. What a little runt! Cute though. I had to take a pic in my hand to show how small it is. Oh well, guess I can start it on pinky heads. I thought the smallest egg had already hatched... maybe this one is a twin.

Well if anyone is following my other thread with pics of the whole clutch http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85639 Murphy, in his infinite wisdom has decided I need a whole bunch of anery mots. Someone please kick that guy in the shins for me. Statistically this clutch should have been half anery, half ghost and 1/4 stripe or cube. But the good news is I do see some more ghost heads pipping.

Looking good, Jen!!! The ghost mot DOES have a perfect pattern, love it! But I have to say the silver stripe in the chewed up bowl is my fave!!! Awesome color . . . maybe you'll have to bring that one to me in Aug, also *LOL*

I have an amel baby as tiny as your runt. Let me know if you get yours to eat because I can't get mine to eat and need some more suggestions! :(

Thanks, Nichole. I should bring everything from this clutch that eats well to that show, the one possible exception being the cubed - if its a girl I might keep her. I usually wait until after the first shed to pop everything and determine sexes. I have a couple of people on waiting list interested in ghost stripes, but looks like Murphy is not gonna help in that department unless I get a lucky break with one of the seven remaining eggs. Next clutch that might produce a couple is still about a month from hatching. I was just reading your PM, will send you a reply a bit later. Thanks for the interest!
I have gotten the runts started on pinky heads or on tiny newborn pinkies before, the tough part is that they are so little it can be hard to tease feed them (my preferred method for getting the stubborn ones started) But if you can find a really small pinky you can try tease feeding as described in Kathy Loves book and in this thread http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54474 also try leaving it overnight in a dark deli cup with a pinky head. I hope one of those works.

Thanks for the link and the suggestions. This is something I hadn't heard of yet. I will try the "tease feeding" next time. Washing, braining, and leaving in the cup overnight haven't worked so far, and it is so tiny I have no idea how I would force feed it. Fingers crossed!

7 left, hmm . . . well, you've gotten so many anerys so far, you must be due for another ghost. :) Drat that Murphy . . . Good luck!

Can't wait for the show in Aug!!! I'm thinking I should take out a set amount in cash and leave the wallet in the car

Now I know Murphy hates me. These two were waiting when I got home LOL.
I shouldn't complain because they look nice and healthy. But wow thats a lot of anery mots in the clutch... I sure am glad I held back the two ghost stripes from this pairing last year!
