 Really like the idea of crossing tessera's into the localities, 'grats Graham :*)

Wow they are dark! Nice clutch. Don't you just love this time of year?:dancer:

Terri

I know Terri- this is the time of year that reminds us why we do this! Hopefully- as usual- the "ugly duckling" rule will apply and these dark Tesseras will bloom into beautiful thick bordered Okeetee Tesseras!

Graham

Nice one congrats..!!!! Knowing your okeetee's theyll be amazing..!!!
I have to wait until next year for mine

Congratulations, Graham! What's the next step in this project?

Raise 'em up and breed them a 2nd time back into THICK BORDERED Extreme Okeetees. LOL- I'm alwasy chasing the dream of uber super solid back blotches (or in this case- stripes). Might not ever achieve it BUT if I can get at leats 1/2 the blotches on an okeetee solid black (and reproduce it reliably) I'll be super happy!

You know, with the dominant trait of Tessera, things could look up faster than if you were playing with recessive traits...LOL. I would love to see a full grown Tessera Okeetee.

Did you see Heather's Miami Tessera project? That looks really promising, too!

I think I'd take one of these female Tesseras and breed her to that beautiful male you have- male okeetee.
