I just wanted to point out, if in fact it is a new mutation for Emoryi, it would be worth several thousand dollars. Though IMO, it looks like a Blizzard Cornsnake.

not realy I cant see it going for more than 200 after about 6 years of work. Just because it is new does not meant that it is a gold mine. first you have to prove that it is not a corn . then you have to hope it is not steile or that it can be reproduced. Not all odd balls can be reproduced. On top of everything you got to get it eating. It dont look out of this world . It is diffrent but lets be real it is not like it is bursting with color.

I've never seen a snake like this before, I'm thinking someone realesed it.. I know it must not be a wild snake. As I have corn snakes, but it looks nothing like a "blizzard corn snake" what do you guys think?
I don't think it's a corn snake. It looks more like an albino Texas rat snake (Pantherophis obsoleta lindheimeri), which also fits better with where it was found.

I agree that if that snake is wild, it should go to someone who is or will breed whatever they ares, if it's a new morph. (Like you can find anery corns WC and it's not that big of a deal, except for the fresh genes, but something like a leucystic Eastern Hog- there are only two, anywhere, so they are very important animals.) It's wasted as a pet. Vinman certainly has the resources and energy and know-how to put into a project.

OH My Goodness Tesst LOL, you had me going, I'm starting to get a little attached, then you came along almost brought a tear to my eye, LOL

Do you have other snakes? Maybe you could arrange a trade, if you like this one so much!

If you want to sell it to a breeder maybe make a deal like this. Sell it for $50 because they are taking some risks like Vinman says, but if it turns out to be some rare snake and does produce then on top of $50 you get one of its first rare offspring free in the deal. That way the breeder gets less expense and risk to start but if it pans out you get to share in the benefit too.

You are my kind of people. I allready made them that offer if it pans out ( thats the words I used) I will be sending something more. My thought was the to send them the price of what the morph is going for. Lets say it ends up being worth something they dont get screwed. The main thing is to breed it to see what it is, I love a good mystery

I agree with Jaxom. Given the location, the circumstances, and the behavior of the snake I'm more comfortable with the odds that it is an Amel Texas Rat. Nice find and good looking snake.

Neither are Z's, but look what they go for. ;)

you got to kidding me the Z's are so varrible, gray with red and orange comming through. They are out of this world. The genitic combos with the Z's crossed into all the diffrent hypo's and pattren morphs the projects are endless. How can you compare a varible gene like the Z morph to a pale white snake . :shrugs:

This is an avalanche hatchling, I dont think its that ;)

Why do you pick up a snake when you don't know what it is? Might be venemous. :eek1:

Like what, an albino cobra?? I pick up snakes that I don't know what they are all the time. I do know what the local venomous snakes are, and I can rule those out.

Generally this isn't bad advice, but most people who aren't completely ignorant about North American snakes could identify that as SOME kind of rat snake. There are no venomous NA rat snakes.
