you got to kidding me the Z's are so varrible, gray with red and orange comming through. They are out of this world.

I disagree. I think they're ugly.

My whole point in posting was the fact that you offered the guy $50 for a snake where there is a possibility that it is a new genetic mutation...Something you could very well make thousands off of if in fact it was...I was merely pointing out that it would be worth far more then that if in fact it was something new.

Like what, an albino cobra?? I pick up snakes that I don't know what they are all the time. I do know what the local venomous snakes are, and I can rule those out.

Nanci

Wahahahahahaha Nanci that was priceless & yes my Mocha BK Joe is once again on my carpet!!

For what my opinion is worth *1cent* I see light pastel pink saddles. I am guessing it is a corn. And needs some good ole' pinkies...YUMMY, looks like you found a nice pet. But I am w/ the others put a lost & found add out just in case. I would not describe or add a pic cause then anybody can say its theres. These guys are known to escape & I have seen many upon many of threads of little guys getting out & never being found. At least you'll feel good you tried to see if there is an owner.

anyhoo he is ADORABLE!! Love him!! :santa:

Yes, I think I should probably make sure its no one's personal snake, before I ship it off to Vinman. ( I'm sorry )

And..

I picked him up because I figured, there werent alot of "white" venomus snakes around.. He is very fiesty, if I cant find his home within a few days I'm going to offer him a pinky, luckily enough I had just been to an expo and got newborn pinks for my upcoming corn baby. So I have ones small enough to feed it.

I will let everyone know how I make out with the ad, and the feeding in a few days.

I personally think he's a corn snake, but I've had a few say he was a Texas Rat Snake, so I really dont know.

And I had you on the list for a free pair of striped-cinders when I make them-- I guess I'll have to find another recipient. :grin01: ;)

O don't get me wrong, I think the combos are very promising! ;)
I love the Amel Z for instance. I think a Stripe version would be fabulous!

Hah!

You know, I think that female "fugly" stripe would be a perfect looking animal to start a striped-cinder project. She would keep the Keys look strong in the line. I don't know if she is really pure Keys corn, but she sure looks it. It wouldn't matter much anyway from a purity perspective since I'm pretty sure that the cinders I have aren't pure Keys either (my hets are). You may want to think about letting me keep her for the '09 season...

I've seen plenty of pissed-off young corns with that head shape. Here's my lav-blood male as a hatchling:

Ohh theres that head!! I'm thinking its just a Corn Snake, what about you guys?? I will try to find his/her family, if I can I may just keep it. Because I dont think Vinman will be interested in a Corn.

Hmm, that's certainly an idea, Dean.
I certainly don't mind you keeping her and using her for '09 for that sort of project. :) A Stripe like her isn't something I have much use for...Though I want to get my hands on one of those "Granites" to pair her with eventually.

Justine, a hatchling cornsnake will flatten its head like that in a defensive posture when it feels threatened.

Suh-weet! :D Most of my other striped females will be committed to other projects in '09, so I could use another female. And I like regular cinders a lot, so I'd really love to make some straight-up cinder-stripes. Of course the butter-cinder-stripes and cinder-blood-stripes I might make sound pretty good too... ;)

My post for the found, little guy has been up for a while now, and I have had no reply, I'm giving it a couple days, then I'm going to take it from there. Do you think its a good idea to feed now?

The snake is worth a preety penny it is a wild caught emoryi in some type of albino . Would you like to sell it. here is my phone number if you like to call 718 792 2593

Yes, it is worth about $50. Houston County is nowhere near Emory land. Period! Geez, and that is more likely to be an albino blackbird than any other Elaphe in that part of Texas......lol.

Emory ratsnakes aren't as ubiquitous in Texas as some people seem to mistakenly believe.....lol.

Thank you verry much I 'm realy looking foward to getting this little guy. I will find ouit tomorrow if he is mine or not

If it is a native and they sell it to you, we are looking at a Lacey Act violation. You can't sell a native in Texas without a permit. If the collector didn't have the proper license, it might have been illegally collected to begin with.

Guys, this is a PUBLIC forum. Somebody is gonna see the wrong side of a court room IF this thing IS illegally sold/shipped! Period!

Good thing that is nothing more than a CORNSNAKE, and those aren't considered native in Texas. Geez. Native Texas snake, my butt!

Yeah. Operation game thief gives out a greater reward for many convictions than what he offered to pay for that cornsnake......lol.
