I don't see why Amphibians should be excluded...So my answer would be that Amphibians would be acceptable to me as entries. :)

Part of the reason their has been a delay is because I was in the hospital 11/06 - 11/11 having a baby. :) I am going to try and get everything taken care of and caught up this weekend. Corbin is not a fussy baby so I have plenty of time on my hands being that I can't go back to work for another 5 weeks.

As for the question on what the prizes are...I have not been contacted by anyone on donations since the initial items for the Halloween contest. As soon as I get everything settled with the prize hand outs for the Halloween contest, some of those prizes will migrate to the Holiday contest and will be listed.

So again, if anyone is interested in donating, pretty please PM me. :)
 
This sounds like lots of fun. I'm super excited! I was telling my parentals about it too, and they seemed up for the idea. They were helping me come up with ideas for pictures and backdrops and stuff. Cute, huh?
 
I Think your idea on some books as prizes would be great. Maybe a book on cornsnake morphs or genetics, or other reptile books.

Gailleann broke my lens a couple of nights ago :( I'm off to see if I can find a cheap used one... sigh.... okay, maybe I dropped it... but I wouldn't have dropped it if she hadn't tried to escape... so her fault :D
 
I have a question. My photos are usually named something like "El Wray Dec 2008" or something, always with the snakes name. Are we to rename the photo before submitting it, so that informaiton is not there??

I think they use a photobucket account to host the photos you send them, so they can rename them whatever they want. At least, I'm pretty sure that's how it works!
 
Sorry for the delay in my response.

To answer your question, Nanci, it doesn't matter what you name the files. I rename them in a certain way for my own organizational purposes. :)

Submissions close at midnight tonight! Get your photos in!
 
How is the turn out for photos looking..are we getting a good amout of people this time..I sure hope so!:dancer:

Actually, the deadline was posted in the original post. And there was also a deadline announcement when there was two weeks, and one week remaining. Not to mention it has been posted in the WIR at least once.
 
Robbie's right (and it was posted in the WIR twice that I know of! :) ). This was announced over a month ago. Then I posted deadline reminders at 2 weeks, 1 week, 2 days and same day all in this thread. ;)

But not everyone reads the WIRs, and if there was a main thread called Holiday Photo Contest then I may have read it.
 
This is the main thread and it was posted on the 5th of November. :)
The only changes I made to the initial post was adding prizes as they were donated.
