Just wondering how many snakes everyone has and what kinds? I have 3 corns and one Hog Island/Col cross. I have room for more corns and would consider a Nicuruguan Boa or full Hog Island.I won't ever have anything over 7 feet. That is too much snake.I'll know when I have reached my limit.

my bf said my limit is 0. I just keep bringing 'em home :shrugs: lol.

my limit started out as a reluctant 1

do you think if i call a special phone number i can request a "snake limit increase" - you know like a credit limit increase

i guess we will see how long i can keep the extra two w/c garters i brought home last week before something bad happens

I've got 28 snakes and am at my "wife-imposed limit" right now. LOL.

When breeding comes, I know that I'll be over that imposed limit until I can sell off the hatchlings, but I think the wife knows about that... Just keeping the "keepers" might extend the limit for a little while.

I have 11 right now. 3 corns, 1 jungle corn, 1 black/yellow/grey rat cross, 2 ball pythons, 1 garter, 1 columbian red tailed boa, 1 kenyan sand boa, and 1 tricolored hognose. My limit is what I can afford to keep/feed, space, and my time.

Right now, I have 2. I think where i'm living right now, my max would be between 10 and 20. If I got my own place with an extra bedroom, I would say my limit would be approximately 50. I think that's what I could manage by myself without feeling overwhelmed.

My limit was 1...
now... I am not foolish enough to set limits. I know I'll end up breaking every single one I set... so better not tempt it :)

I have 20 and 2 more on the way- 16 corns, 2 kings, 3 boas and 1 python.

My boyfriend told me no more 10 snakes ago lol, see how well that worked. As long as I can afford to house and feed everyone I have no limit (shh don't tell my boyfriend lol).

I don't really have a set limit, but I know I don't want anymore right now. 4 is enough for me and I've totally ran out of room. I might get another one if I ever end up owning my own place, if a really good deal comes along or someone suckers me into taking their unwanted snake. But I'm not looking, just drooling over everyone elses' black milks, bairds, hog noses, and white-sided bulls.

Ok I have I 17 snakes, 1 frog and 1 turtle and the sky is the limit! But rght now corns and heralds are what I am taking in (Small, easy care, etc etc)

Right now, I'm at 13. Plus 2 or 3 "keepers", and, if I ever get around to selling her, minus one Lucy. I try to stay away from the bigger stuff so I have more space/money for the smaller stuff. Boas are very hard to resist, though. =)

I try not to set limits (too easy to surpass, and too hard to obey!), but I'd tentatively say 20 until I'm out of college and have a stable job... I'm not sure how well that's going to go, though, since my mom is trying to convince me I need a couple Dumeril's boas and there's a few more things I want before I stop.

I'd have set my limit a lot lower, but (aside from getting carried away) I got lucky--my parents have embraced the scaly things, and then some! My dad has claimed the beardie as his, and my mom is about $200 and a nice enclosure away from becoming a fellow hobbyist/addict by way of a Dumeril's boa (which fits with Dad's desire for a large snake of his very own).

I have 10 corns, 2 Ball Pythons, 2 Jungle Carpet Pythons and a Brazilian Rainbow Boa. I really don't know where my limit is, but my husband would probably say I'm well past it!! He plays in a band and his 'music room' is now my 'snake room' and I won't let him play his noisy guitar anywhere near to the room coz of all the vibrations etc distressing the snakes...now he's reluctantly in the garage!! :)

My collection is just over 70 animals now, give or take a few. I remember setting my limit to about 20!

I've been keeping snakes for almost 30 years, and my hubby is very understanding. We've been married only 2 years, so he knew that I would not give up the hobby.

I have two snakes which my wife is ok with. My spousal limit was set not only because of two snakes but also ... 2 leo geckos, 1 bearded dragon, 3 dogs, 2 fish tanks, 1 hermit crab, and a cockatiel.

We have 2 snakes and 1 leopard gecko. I won't get anymore now unless I can find a really nice juvy black milk snake.
