I have 1 corn snake. Two dogs and 3 cats. ....I haven't always wanted a snake or anything but I got a snow corn about a month ago and I love him. ......anyway....after having spent hours...and imean hours reading most of the posts on this site..I want another one. ....a bright coloured stripe one in contrast to my snow.....so appart from initial set up costs it can't possibly b that much harder, time consuming, expensive etc to have two instead of one. .........can it :) lol.....just one more....

Uh oh!! You are a goner now!!

I have 31 corns, and I am not done yet. They are not tooooooo time consuming :)

I've never wanted a snake in my life and now all I think about is vivs n temps n morphs and how to convince my fiancee its a good idea to have anotherone in our bedroom. .....

At the moment I have nearly every morph to make some really nice combos down the road. I am on one (just one) waiting list right now for a lava okeetee. Other than that, I probably won't be buying a whole lot.....but....for the projects I plan to work on, I will be keeping back alot of babies I hatch. Plus I am hoping to win a few raffles at the cornsnake dinner to benefit USARK this year (gotta support USARK!!!)...so, I am far from done I think!

Sounds good. I'm in Scotland and there's not a lot if any reptile shows here like u guys all talk about and a lot of our big pet shops don't even sell snakes........the small ones do but the snakes always look badly kept and dirty so not sure where to get next one from...

I have 28. I remember trying to stay under 10, then 20. Now I'm trying to stay under 30. Except I have a project that will require holding back all of my half of the babies! Although they don't take much time, a couple hours a week, maybe four at the most, I _do_ feel like I have to divide my attention between them a lot more than I used to. I'm sure they don't mind a bit!

haha Im in the same situation. I've only had my little guy for 5 weeks. Already in my mind upgrading his viv and wondering what kind of corn to get next. An empty viv is just not happening, thats just a crime! :)

If you got an amel stripe, (or a sunglow amel stripe!!) or an anery stripe, either would match well with your snow!!

Yeah that is the types I was thinkin of. I just literally opened up my local add paper sumone selling 4 ft by 3 fy viv with lamp uth and accesories for £100 in my area.........

big viv, but not a bad deal. lol...I dont tell the boyfriend anymore. He says that the snakes dont smell, make noise, or chew/scratch things. He doesn't care how many I have so long as I can care for them all. His one rule is they are a joy, not a burden. They're my hobby, he's got remote control cars (and boats, planes, helicopters...) I've got snakes.
One more, would be no more work at all. Last night I doubled my collection (sounds big, but I had two snakes and now I've got four) and I know it wont be much more work. Although I would LOVE to have a rack instead of vivs...

I'm going to see it after work. The viv I have is very well made with doors that open out to the front but its more tall than there is floor space. .....I think my little guy might b too wee for such a big cage but its worth getting and keping if it looks good. Illl put up pics if I get it....which I will.....it jada carpet python in it

Be careful. It is easy to keep getting them, but everyone has a "breaking point". There is such a thing as "too many", and it is incredibly difficult to know how many that is...until you have them.

This is an addicting hobby, and the ease of care makes it even more so. Get your snakes and love them, and enjoy the hobby. Just be warned. These things are ike potato chips...you can't have just one...

...

DYK this is true. So the more discriminating you can be about adding on- with less common, more in-demand morphs, the better chance you'll have of being able to reduce your collection if you ever have to! Might be hard to do if you had 30 normals and then decided that was too much.

We have 20 now, with the possiblilty of eggs soon coming! We have another rack we are in the process of setting up. We have 9 vivs-5 10 gal and 4 20 gal and then a rack with tubs. The tubs are so much easier to care for. But you don't get to see them as easily. We have thermostats on each rack which makes it much easier to control the heat. We are using FlexWatt on the tubs. The ones we have no thermostat on, since there are a couple that the thermostat doesn't reach, plus the ones we still have in quarantine for the time being, we have dimmer switches on them which is a must if you don't have a thermostat. Either way, you need to control the heat. But since you already own a corn and are on here, you may already know that. Anyway...hope you get to ad to your collection soon!

Yeah I have done crazy amounts of reserch. ...but all advice is always welcome and appreciated. The viv was no good I went to see....if I post a pic of my viv can u reassure me its not too small for my snake.
