It's Jager time!
As some may have noticed I have missed many a WIR. Basically I am struggling to do it myself on time every week. I have had help in the past and its very appreciated, plus I love to see cornsnakes.com from OTHER peoples point of view too.

I am wondering who would be willing to write the WIR on a rota system with me. I would be looking for 3 other people. So basically its down to one WIR per month for each writer. I would find that MUCH more manageable since starting my new job and going back to college. And Im sure others would like to host their own opinions and reviews for the week too. I want this to be a community project, and not just my choices put up there every week,

Any thoughts? Please put your name forward and any other suggestions to sort of spread the workload.
 
I nominate Nanci as one name. She really does a great job just in answering people's posts and threads. A++ for participation! Of course, she'd have to want to do the job . . .

I will offer myself on a once-a-month rotation.

I understand how difficult it must be to get it every week. That is the only reason I haven't offered more help, because it can just be so hard to get it together.

But on a once-a-month rotation, I would willing to take a quarter of the workload...
 
I honestly don't know if I'd have the time to do one all by myself, but if theres someone who wants to do it but doesn't think they can do it all and wants to team up I'm all over that.

In addition if anyone who does take on a whole WIR by themselves wants me to pick up a couple of catergories I volunteer myself.

I'm honored at my nomination. That being said, I fear the time involved to create the WIR may be more than I have at one sitting. You see, I have time, but it is spread over the week. Few minutes here, few minutes there. Plus, when I read the WIR, I am always wondering how I missed this post or that post and I am afraid if I was the author of such a cumulative post, I would leave out important and pertinent information to a summary document. Therefore, it is with deep regret and sorrow that I must decline the office of WIR rotating author.

BUT....do not let my declaration of declination fool you. I am still focused on making this site a better place to be. I am still focused on the task at hand and seeing it through no matter what the costs. I am still your man for Moderator. As the US presidential election draws ever closer and our lovely two party system gives us little choice on who really runs our government, I will stand strong for the ideals of this cornsnake site. I will carefully consider the direction to take this site to best benefit all the members involved. I will squash spammers and newbie non-search users. I will implement code to prevent all of those photoshop photos that Rich Z occasionally posts as there is no way he can have THAT many cool snakes.

Soon you will have to make a decision on where you want to see this site to eventually go and I will be that person to light the way.

Cornsnakes for all, MohrSnakes for all.

Thanks Chris! One one down, 2 to go...

I don't think anyone should take the whole WIR as for the first few months its fine, then it starts to become a chore, and I don't want it to feel like that. It was my idea, and technically I should continue to do it myself, but its at the point where I simply cannot be reliable to do it every week, and I feel I am letting people down.
 
Likr I said inthe PM, I'll gladly do it. I just can't get to it til Thursday. But I'll gladly be one of the rotationals :)
 
I don't have anything else to add to this topic. But I just HAD to comment on those pretty green toes above me... :sidestep:

Jeff, why do you still persist in the fantasy that there will even be another election? In case you haven't discovered, the moderatorship are now a permanent dictatorship where Dean, Mike and myself have complete control, only bowing to the ultimate power of the Supreme Ruler, the All Powerful Zuchowski. And be very careful with your accusations of his breaking the 6th commandment of "Thou shalt not falsely represent any corn snake." He knows all and sees all in his realm and you don't want to bring his wrath down upon you. His loyal subjects have powers that you cannot battle.

The wrath? Hmmmmm I'm not saying he doesn't have all those cool snakes...it is possible I suppose. What I am saying is he posts picture after picture and doesn't even say what they are. If he has THAT many cool snakes I suggest that he (or you and his loyal subjects) pack up a package of all those cool snakes to be verified by myself. I'll give you my FedEx account and I'll pick up shipping. When they arrive I will dutifully study them and take photos. I will then grow the snakes up and see what they are and reveal my findings in a couple of years. How's that? :rolleyes:

Well...there is this group of Floridians planning a little "field trip" to "appropriate" some of Rich's hatchlings...just to lighten his work load. He has been extremely over-worked and we are only thinking of his well-being... You are quite welcome to join us...I mean "them", in their quest to make our Supreme Ruler of this realm a less burdened soul...
