Around Here Somewhere....
So yesterday I went to the Honda Grand Prix of St Petersburg with my brother. He is a huge racing fan and I get free tickets from Marlboro every year. It offers me a unique event to photograph so I don't mind going at all!

Yesterday, while walking around my brother spotted this guy in a private tent. Apparently he is helping with the promotion of the new "I Am Indy" campaign and wrote some kind of "theme song" for it.

I didn't manage to get an autograph, but from about 15ft away he spotted me pointing the long lens right at him - pointed at me and gave me a thumbs up!

Needless to say - I was pretty excited to snap off a few shots of Gene Simmons of KISS!!

Ahhhhhhhhh.....

that is soooooooo KEWLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!! I think I would've fainted before I got the shots. Wow, those are very close awesome shots!! You are almost the luckiest person alive, lol. KISS was one of my favorite bands growing up and they still are and they will be forever!!!

Talk about being at the right place at the right time lol...

I'm kinda like Nanci, there are alot of celebrities that I wouldn't recognize if I saw them face to face.....
But Gene Simmons I would have!!

I remember when "Shout It Out Loud" was brand new!

I would've recognized him too if I saw him first! I was too busy scouting the track for good locations to set up and shoot when my brother noticed and pointed him out to me. I just found it really funny that my bro spotted him considering the only reason he probably recognizes Gene is the advertisting he is doing for Indy!
 
wow! That's really neat. Those are really great photos too :) I love the first one. My parents loved KISS. They have such unique looks too even without make-up.

I would've thrown a rock; KISS is pretty respected by people-- but not in my book. Especially Gene. Sell out
