Is this a Caramel?

Hypo is considered by some to be a 4-letter word, if you get my meaning. The variability is so great that the only way to determine what you have is to test breed it with a known. Yes, I've seen many normals with that light a coloration, but I've also seen darker hypos. The ground color isn't as important as the color of the black parts (saddle bands, belly checks). I was making a guessimate based mostly on the coloration of the belly checks in the only photo of them. They lack ground or saddle color as well as melanin in that photo, looking very bronze in color, which to me indicates hypo.

PS: What color would you expect a hypo's ground color to be?

I love Hypos for that very reason, the "Varience" in there appearence, much like "Normal" corns.... but I think the photos of the Caramel posted sre what I envision when I am looking for Caramels for sale.... Very nice!

well it turns out she's a amber, i decided to breed her to my amber male this year and finally on Saturday the 14 eggs started to pip and today i have 14 lovely little amber's.
pics will fallow later

Could you post pictures of the babies (I know you said you would though, so hopefully soon)? I still dont see her being homo caramel...

Photos of the hatchlings is definitely in order as I also can't see how she is homo caramel. Plus, she could simply be a hypo het caramel (my guess) and the coin flipped on amber each time instead of hypo het caramel. It sure wouldn't be the first time something like that happened! And include a photo of Dad as well, just because I like seeing ambers!
