just picked up a new corn! (is he more than an anery?)

hey guys, i just picked up this corn today. i snapped a few photos before putting him in his tub to warm up and settle in.

he was sold to me as an anery but after i got him home and looked a little closer, he looks stranger than any anery i've seen to date. he has SO much yellow! and he seems to have less pattern on the sides than any of my other corns. his head also looks a little washed out.

he's going to be the male for my anery project, i've already got the perfect female waitin' for him!

he looks a lot lighter to me in real life, but we all know how hard it is to capture their actual colors. anyways, pics!

Without seeing the belly, I wanna say het/homo diffused (bloodred), and a very pretty one at that. If he has belly checks, though, I have no idea. Does dilute have belly checks?

What is dilute, exactly, anyways? I'm unfamiliar on the morph.

Dilute gives the appearance of almost always being in shed when compared with a normal. It also gives the snakes an overall light pink wash, and when exhibited in the homozygous form can give some anery's the appearance of being blue.

I would test against a homo blood female to be sure or even a hypo homo blood female to see if he's het hypo too. Some granites I see are super diffused and others not so much so he could be a granite, but belly shot would really help.

He's gorgeous! And I'd vote het Blood, too! His yellow really pops! Congrats on the new addition! :}

he really is a looker hey! when i saw the first pic of him i thought he might be a motley, but the first thing i checked when i got home was for belly checks. but blood is DEFINITELY what i was thinking too.

do bloods have clear bellies like mots?

I am going to vote that there's something else homozygous going on in there. His eyes are unusually dark, and he's got what looks like some red on him. Gorgeous! I want a baby!

D'OH! I didn't even notice the dark eyes. Thanks for pointing that out.
Dark eyes can be an indicator of it being homo charcoal instead of homo anery.

i thought charcoals didn't have much yellow?

For the most part, they don't. But I have an anery female with less yellow than most charcoals I've seen, and I've seen charcoals with more yellow than most anerys. LOL. You've gotta love natural variation!
