just picked up a new corn! (is he more than an anery?)

Shiari, i definitely feel your pain! i have wanted sooooooooooooooo many snakes, way too many to count, that're located in the US!

i guess i'll find out this year when i breed him and my anery female, if he's a charcoal i'd get all normals, right?

If he's homo for both, I'm going to go up there and steal him for Vanay if she tests out as homozygous both as well.

sooo confusing! now i just gotta wait for QT and for them to get "in the mood!" and then i gotta wait for Zelda to lay the eggs, THEN i gotta wait for them to hatch.

why me, a horribly impatient person, did i get into snakes!?

He's an absolutely gorgeous anery ph blood! And his eyes look just as light/dark as several of my adult anerys. I wouldn't be too concerned about him possibly being charcoal. As hatchlings, the eye color is a way to possibly tell the difference between the 2 morphs, but you can't use it as an indicator in an adult, IMO.

thanks guys, i sure adore him! good thing my boyfriends been oogling at some bloods for awhile...now just to find a proven breeder blood female and i can test him out this season! for ph blood, and to see if he's charcoal. i'm really hopin' he's just a funky anery, but time will tell! i've named him Link, to go along with Ganondorf the normal, Zora the snow, and Zelda the anery!

Agreed..

Well, whatever Link's genetics prove out to be, that is one handsome snake! Good luck with the breedings and please keep us updated!

Whoa! He's gorgeous! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, that yellow! Now see, if I were to get an anery this is exactly what I'd want, one with a lot of yellow.

I'm going to go a different route. I'd say Anery het Motley. I'm going to say no on the Charcoal as they tend to have a more pastel-like yellow as opposed to the mustard yellow that Anerys (and your snake) tend to have.

PS. Don't know why I didn't see this thread back in December. :)

He does have the same 'look' as a female anery/charcoal I've recently seen updated pictures of, however.

What a gorgeous animal! Did you test it out against a blood this year? I'm really curious to see what the genetics are on this one. Beautiful! :)

Keep us updated please! Hehe. :D

i'm kind of hoping he's not a charcoal, but it would be cool since i don't believe there are too many in canada. i am almost 100% POSITIVE he's het blood, and when i first saw his picture, i thought that he was HOMO motley. of course i looked at his belly very first thing and nope, not motley or blood but i definitely think he's carrying both those genes somewhere.

unfortunately the blood i was going to test him out with isn't *quite* back up to weight yet, she's sittin at 300 grams now after dropping some weight. she refused to eat because i was offering her ASF's, but she's now back on mice so i'm not sure if we're going to breed her or not this year.

Yea, a Motley Hurricane.
