and Corns, OH MY!
This is Flare, a 10 wk old Greyhound pup that I am fostering. She is a blast.

Aren't I cute?

You know you are suppose to hunt with them there dogs. The wippet and greyhound make good rabbit hunting dogs.

Ok - done being a redneck. Greyhounds do make great pets. A friend has a greyhound track dog, it was a rescue type of thing not a true rescue the breeder was going to kill her for lack of speed as a puppy(like 6 or 7 months old) but gave her to a greyhound rescue and my friend got her as a pet.

Love the Fatman

Good luck with letting her go, she's adorable!
(I offered to be a temp. foster for 4 days for a GSD male, but I was doomed from teh beginning. Before the 1st day was over, I knew he had to stay. I've had him for almost 4 years now. LOL)

Oh my God! Those eyes! There's no hope for you! Foster my foot! She's a keeper! Of course I AM terribly biased. My first dog was a whippet. My second was a Borzoi and I'm on the greyhound now. I just have a thing for the skinny fast dogs. Good luck with her! Enjoy every minute you have her! You got her young enough she might actually be able to be trained to sit unlike other greyhounds.

Devon

P.S. I LOVE greyhounds but I'd have another Borzoi in a heartbeat. She thought it was her job to make the world laugh every day.

She's lovely. I'm not really a dog person, but I do LOVE greyhounds. The ones I have meet have always been the gentlest, sweetest dogs. :)

She is so adorable! I love greyhounds. If I get one though, it will probably be an italian greyhound or a whippet.

Thanks eveyone!

She is too cute and I probably will keep her. :D

I really love the Sighthounds. The lady I got her from also had a 2yr old Borzoi she was wanting to place. It was tough to leave without her too.

Well my Whippets have never hunted for real but they both did Lure Coursing.

Hey dogsNdragons,

Your are talking about when several Whippets chase a fake rabbit for like 50 to a 100 yards maybe less?

Because I saw that once in San Antonio. I sat there and watched for several hours. I love to watch dogs do what they were breed to do. Watching those whippets run was truly beautiful.

Oh she's gorgeous! That FACE!!!!!! Sorry :)

The shelter I volunteer at has so many greyhounds, and they're all so sweet, it's very sad. Staffies and greyhounds must make up 85% of all the dogs there.

She's adorable! I love greyhounds, but I've never seen a puppy before! I've only ever seen the adults... I thought the racing companies controlled the breeding rights or something bizarre like that. Where did you get her?

I have a little dog that looks just like her... I will have to post a picture when I get home, but he has absolutely no greyhound in him...lol... I love greyhounds, well just about any kind of hound really.
