Morph Identification Help -- Show Pick up!

I'm going to regard that as a normal as well.
I've seen normals that were lighter than hypos.
There's a lot of different "looks" to normal.
That sure is a beautiful snake though!

Tim

Yep, I wish I could get a better picture of his color. It is not as orange as my pictures want it to be.

If only we could find out what all was bred together for the parents. Would make it easier!

Looks like a normal to me with some nice partial aztec pattern. The head pattern does remind me of many het Sunkissed I've hatched out and the color, well, I've seen quite a few normals with the tan ground color and that orange brown saddle color. All the bright oranges and reds we usually think of in normals have been selectively bred over generations. Many wild corns in many areas aren't quite that bright, hence the initial attraction to the original Okeetees which were naturally more red.

I can vouch for his yellowness. If he was labeled as a Caramel, I doubt many would argue otherwise. Very odd little guy indeed...

It does look like it has some sorta sunkissed influence to it.. But also looks like a normal.. Maybe het sunkissed, maybe sunkissed of low quality.. I also see the caramel look to it also.. I agree with what was said before... breed it to a caramel and a sunkissed to test the possibilities..

I agree with other comments. If it was from two het caramels and was a possible het, then I'd suspect it was probably a definite het. However, lots of normals can have that "het caramel look" to them w/o being het caramel. Same with the "het sunkissed" look. If he had known sunkissed lineage, then maybe he could be a het.

I would try to breed him to something caramel and sunkissed and see, but at the same time probably expecting him to not be het for either. But you never know, and regardless if he is het for anything, he sure is nice looking. And the important thing is that you like him - that's all that matters IMO!

I'm going to guess normal p/het sunkissed. It doesn't look like a caramel or an amber, seeing as I have a few representatives of both morphs. What was it sold as? Regardless, it is an awesome looking snake!

I couldn't get this guy's yellow to show up either, but here was the attempt...

I am going to make 2 guesses. One is het caramel. The other is that the parents were of WC stock -- I saw a WC adult pair at Daytona that had that same caramel coloring to them.

Wow, such a huge variety of guesses here...but I'm going to say normal on this one! Pretty snake nonetheless!

My initial reaction was rootbeer het sunkissed (or possibly homo, but who knows how emoryi blood will affect the sunkissed pattern, if at all...I don't think they've been mixed, as far as I have heard). The colors, especially now that Josh posted pictures, are remarkably similar to my rootbeers. Just a thought though, very pretty little thing no matter what he is. :)

In addition to cornparadise's comment above, the head pattern on the "hypo" in the pic from the show is VERY odd....

I'm with the Caramel, Sunkissed crowd. But I'm still a beginner and not well versed with a lot of normals and hybrids. :shrugs: I do agree with the statements of breeding to something Sunkissed and something Caramel. Maybe even something Ultramel?
