My First Hatchlings!

Jessica - those baby corns are just amazing! Orange is my favourite colour, and I think Copperhead might just be my new favourite snake! :D

My dream snake right now is a Mot Butter! *jealous*

Another Amel/Wierdo Motley hatched. Looks like they're catching up to the Butter Stripes! I hope there are a few more Butter Motleys too.

S/he has that nice Old English "C" letter head pattern I love

I'll have to do a comparison shot later, but it seems lighter than the other "Amels" that have hatched out.

Also, I got a great egg tooth shot!

This one hasn't emerged yet, but it looks like it will have a cool head pattern too.

WoW!! I love the pattern on Pomegranate, That's one screaming striped motley!:dancer::cool::cool::cool:The pattern reminds me of a couple sibs of Copperhead.

I'm really perplexed at how you are getting amels, knowing what the parents were.:shrugs: I will have to find out what Copperhead's grandparents genetics were.

3 more heads popping out, but looks like it's still a waiting game.[/QUOTE]

Am I on that list anywhere?

I was wondering if you'd want in! You sure are.

Well, perhaps Pomegranate's the one that has your name on it. It's the one that reminds me the most of Copperhead. It would be really cool to figure out what the genetics of the Grandparents are. This is so mysterious!

I am also enjoying this thread!! Excellent pictures of all your babies, and I also love all the names =)

2 more out!

Wierdo Amel Stripe! "Zucchini"
P1019834.jpg

Unfortunately it has a kink. It's pretty far down and doesn't seem too major, hopefully it won't affect digestion. I didn't even notice the kink until I tried to peek a look at its tail to see if I could tell the gender (I doubt looking is really going to tell me anything at this stage anyway).

I just love this little head! Hopefully all will be well with it, I have a feeling it may just have a home here with me as a pet only keeper. ;)

Another "Amel" Motley!

"Pumpkin", 6g

5 more to go! I'm hoping all hatch safely and there are no more kinks.

They're so beautiful, it's hard to pick a favorite. If I HAD to, though, I think I'd choose "Peach" :). Congratulations on a MOST excellent clutch of baby beauties!

Jessica, you might be able to see red dots of hemipenes, especially if you hold them up to the light.

Congrats! What a gorgeous group! Are all of the butter stripes spoken for already? I'm normally not a fan of stripes but these guys are adorable!

I can't wait till everyone sheds. I think most would be pleased to have Zucchini as a pet. He is going to be gorgeous.

Have been watching this thread while each baby decided to make an appearance into the "great outdoors". Those are some beautiful hatchlings!

Eeeeeee, I LOVE these babies!!! Ya know, I don't have the human-baby-lust thing so many people seem to at (I guess) my approximate age at all, but my biological snake-clock is ticking so fast right now! You have to save a couple of these guys until the show in August, just so I can see how they're doing! I love how thorough you've been in documenting the pips-- there is nothing cuter in the *world*, and I don't get to hang out around any of it in person this year, so this is the next best thing!

I think Zucchini is my favourite. (As if one could really choose!)
