My What the Fff Is Better Than Yours!!

Good Heavens. I'm just reading this, Nanci, not having known you just used the same thread to continue the saga. I'm stressed just reading it.
And tired.
You need to find her a man,....I mean at least then it will be all "Much Ado About Something".
But seriously, she does do her business readily and in a deliberate predictable way.
("Egg Genie and bonus Bacon Wave" across the top AND down the right side now.)

That's the whole reason I won't get a female for Tequila. Matt wants to get him a girlfriend and I say NO WAY! Won't rule out getting a female but she'd be for me and not Tequila!

Dragons aren't like cornsnakes, you can't have 10 or 20 of them (or more!) without- man, all that housing, lighting, insects, salads...One is plenty for me! Whereas I feel comfortable producing a nice clutch or two of snakes a season. Everyone needs a baby Ruby!! What I mean to say is, unless you're obsessed, one or two dragons is enough. You can't say the same for snakes. I'm sure the market reflects that.

Oh, just these 2 guys keep me on my toes everyday! Since I can't have anymore kids, this is the closest thing, I guess! Daily feedings, baths, "bottle" feeding one, schedules, lots of poo! I couldn't imagine adding a good 50 more!

Since Isabel was scorning the superworms, and I'd ordered silkies yesterday, I syringe fed her a mixture of Jumpstart and chicken baby food today, since she's 150 grams down from her normal weight. Then I went out and checked the mail, and her silkies were here! Unfortunately, all they had available were smalls, so there goes about 20 worms!

Awww! I wish I could get these guys to eat like that! Tequila supposedly loves Super Worms but he has yet to eat one for me! Big waste of money! Maybe I should try silkies.

I'm still feeding Isabel 2 Tbsp of Jumpstart/chicken baby food daily. She didn't regain her weight completely before second-clutching, so I'm helping her out a little bit this time. I've gotten 30 grams back on her in three days. She's also eating plenty of silkies!

She's looking good today! She has that trouble-maker look to her, ike she's going to go for an escape, or something.

That's always a good sign w/Isabel! I can always tell when Tequila's in a feisty mood. He watches my every move and then tries to start moving his screen lid back, since I've been known not to lock down his lid.

Good Lord! Someone offered me a beardie and I was searching for info before I said yes. Nanci, is Isabell's odyssey of egglaying common for these creatures? I love her "Can I help you?" look too, but wow! She's lucky to have you to keep cleaning up those virgin slugs!

I'm not sure, but I think so. Another little tidbit I failed to uncover before buying her! But I love my Isabel practically more than anything, so she's worth it. You should see her today- nearly back to her old self. She had three helpings of silkworms today. I wish those things would grow up so I wouldn't have to feed her 20 at a time!

Wow. I guess if I do get one, I want a male! lol I'm glad Isabel is doing so well, Nanci. Yet another testament to your good heart and good animal keeping skills!

Yeah, that would be my recommendation for any reptile, now! Apparently geckos lay slugs, too, once they reach maturity. But only two, and they don't have to make a month-long production of it!

OMG!

"DYK" that there are 3,300+ pages on that thread?!!! I haven't looked at it in months. Guess it is the "monster that won't die", lol!

Oops, wrong link, Kathy!! Try this one! Yup, DYK is still alive and well. It's a lot more snake and reptile-oriented now. And dieting. And weather.
