I must admit that I was very surprised by John's email this morning. This is the first he has mentioned anything to me. He had last contacted me about 6 weeks ago wanting to purchase a group of pied bloodred hatchlings, and reverse okeettees. Does this sound like a dissatisfied customer??:shrugs:

Thank you I am trying my best, it's the first BOI I have ever written.
 
If there is one mistake I see lots of posters make who start Bad Guy threads is chiming in after each post -not offering more info, just reiterating that they are upset. It adds nothing and can start to detract, in fact. It can be an emotional experience dealing with a bad transaction, but you add animal suffering to it, and it can be so emotional it gets difficult to stick to the facts. You have done so admirably.
 
Once Fedex assigns you a tracking number the service you bought is set for that number; they can't change it to from Overnite to Two Day midstream. They can however slap Two Day stickers on it and pretend it is when they mess up somehow. Could be worse, DHL could have stepped up instead of Fedex. If anyone remembers using DHL to ship reptiles (anything really) say a little thank you prayer Fedex did ;)

Way to do it all right Rose, you did everything the BOI asks for, and exposed an idiot who has no business shipping, let alone dealing, in herps. Poor John R is in for a rough time once those Boi dogs get to him ;)
 
Update on the Snakes: Both are responsive, and appear to be doing fine. The next hurdle will be to feed them (which would be next Thursday, 7 days after they arrived).

It seems to me he is trying to attempt to remove the blame from him by accusing others. He would be accusing me if he could, but since he does not post on the forums himself, I am probably the best shot at having his reputation somewhat salvaged. It seems to me that he is in full out rage mode about the situation and can't find a loop hole out of it that will make him look good.

Which if he wants his reputation somewhat salvaged he will need to give me the full refund (which I have not received yet, I will contact him tomorrow afternoon).

Off record as far as the BOI is concerned,
He seems to be digging his own grave, if he would have just refunded me and apologized (on the forum and to me himself) this thread would eventually die down. But him sending emails and telling others to post on his behalf seems just to stir up the fire more.
 
Correction: He has apologized to me via text, although it would help his cause if he did it on the forum.
 
Wait, now this guy is saying the box is clearly tampered with? Didn't he say his staff made a mistake? It's so obvious it's sad. This guy is... you name it.
 
Update on the situation: I have not received a refund yet (it has been 4 days and he promised for it to be done in a couple), I attempted yesterday to contact the seller about the refund but he did not respond. Therefore, I informed him that I have opened a case between him and me on PayPal requesting the full refund, and if he has not refunded me by Friday, I will escalate the case to a PayPal claim.
 
I wouldn't count the weekend, those aren't business days. But if he hasn't refunded you by Friday, dropping that in the BOI would be very, very bad for him.

That's true, I had the impression that he meant "give me a couple days" literally. The problem I had was that he didn't respond when I asked him when exactly he was going to refund me.
 
Update: So today was feeding day for these 2. I searched for the smallest pinkies in the bag. I boiled them like suggested. I put them in the deli cups they came in with the pinky, and put the deli cup in their tub. How long exactly should I wait to check? I was thinking checking tonight, but maybe that's too soon?
