Way to treat mother Earth, and set your own movement back.

Guess the munches don't include eating the wrappers and plates...or cleaning up their junk.

That is so sad. :(

I really wish that they had cleaned up after themselves to prove some sort of respect instead of perpetuating stereotypes.

That is really sad.

I agree with the above, it is a shame they couldn't have picked up after themselves. This definitely perpetuates the lazy stoner stereotype. Probably a bunch of college kids who just thought they were "cool", and could care less about anything than having fun.

And they would probably whine and moan about being denied permission to do something like that again. If I owned the property, I'd tell them to go find someplace else to act like pigs. Hit the road.....

Sure, it was a stoner event... But it's not like it's any worse than most other events and festivals held around the country. People are lazy and apathetic by nature en masse, any outdoor festival results in a mess.

Not true. Scouts and Tea Party are good examples.

Honestly, it looks like the aftermath of every outdoor festival around here. Funny enough, the biker rally downtown is among the cleanest afterward, but most of them are pretty messy until the clean-up crew goes in. And most festivals have a clean-up crew. I wish I had taken pictures last year when I was wandering around the morning after.

Most festivals charge a fee to cover the cleanup - this wasn't an event with such a fee, and on municipal land the city (and its taxpayers) got to foot the cleanup bill. Uncool in my book...
