Occupy Wall Street protest

I am not trying to bring you down, you're belief is your belief, but I don't want to hear it from a youtube video you found on the web. I wanna hear it from your own heart, why you believe in what you just posted.
Anyone can go research and post someone else's video to describe their views. But that would be doing what he calls a "Sheltered Person's" act. Relying on other to do the work for you and not appreciating it.

As I said I not trying to bash, I am just curious as to why you don't see our economic state as a problem. I personally find it hard to comprehend that some people just don't see it.
I will enlighten as you are new here. I doubt many here would say I don't make my opinion known.

I ABSOLUTELY think we have a major economic problem. I just believe the occupiers are misdirecting their protesting. I believe that misdirection is in some part due to what party resides at 1600. I believe that using capitalist products to protest capitalism is laughable. I believe that "occupying wallstreet" to protest businesses that follow regulation set forth by a (corrupt at best) fedgov whilst not “occupying DC” is a farce. I believe that the fedgov act of bailing out businesses is what should have been protested rather than the act of accepting a bailout. I believe many (read not all) “occupiers” don’t even know who or what to protest but rather that they just want to protest something.

I believe in very minimal regulation of a capitalist economy, just enough to avoid outright fraud. I believe, unlike my socialist/centrist/liberal friend from the great white north, that big over controlling government is NOT the answer to this countries whoas but rather the beginning of its demise. I believe that in NO WAY WHATSOEVER the individual residing in the Whitehouse nor those seated on Capitol Hill have a better understanding of what is best for my family and me than do I. I believe greatly in our constitution and individual freedoms. I believe the more gov is involved in anything the worse off we are. I believe the govs track record speaks for itself.(i.e. SS, Medicare, Medicaid, cash for clunkers, bridges to nowhere, immigration, tax and spend, recent wars, bailouts, hell their own checking accounts, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc ....). I believe the gov should NOT abuse the commerce clause (The Congress shall have Power... To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes.) to force citizens to buy insurance or for that matter any other reason at all. I believe the tenth amendment (The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.)was put in place to avoid exactly what we have, a tyrannical federal gov. I believe that 235 years ago our forefathers fought and died to free us of a tyrannical gov and they are rolling over in their graves right now knowing we are right back there and their efforts are appearing to have been in vain more by the day. I believe the rights guaranteed by the constitution should in NO way be infringed. I believe the gov should NOT be allowed to legislate morality. I believe the gov should NOT be in our bedrooms or dictate who can love whom.

I believe in a very minimal federal government allowed by the constitution with the minimum amount of regulation needed to maintain a civil society.

If there is a specific topic you want my opinion on feel free to ask. I am not shy but I don't bite either.

As I said earlier I was not trying to bring you down or bash you in anyway. But what you have just said and what you previously posted for a youtube video very well can be see very differently.

You must spread some reputation around before giving it to tsst again :-(
No, Nanci, I don't I was not in the wrong. As I said in my OP to tsst I was not bashing him just was asking for a clearer message. And as he stated, he does not bite. I don't see where my reputation comes into play on this topic. And no where in my post was I against site terms and conditions.
I took care of it for both of us :)
Whats exactly was this to for?

Reputation has nothing to do with right or wrong, it has to do with feeling that someone has posted something that you feel is particularly good, or that you agree with. Tsst and I are 2 peas in a pod as far as our beliefs, but he expresses himself better than I do.

I did not feel brought down or bashed.

You are correct. They are apples and oranges. The video I posted was the makers perception of the character traits displayed by the "occupiers" and his opinion of a corrective action. I just found it interesting(apple). My response to your post (below) was simply the opinion you requested(orange).

Nanci's post is a copied and pasted automated response from vBulletin when she tried to give me rep points. She was not instructing you to give me rep.

As stated by Bethany giving rep is about liking or agreeing with the post sighted. It is not usually intended as derogatory toward the post being responded to.

Funny how "occupiers" can worship a capitalist that capitalized on capitalism as long as he superficially sympathizes with their protest. Aren't they protesting economic disparity?!?! I confess I don't really know what they are protesting. :shrugs:

Thank you for clarification but I sure love oranges over apples :p

And that is well put Todd. A lot of them are lost one what they are protesting and views are not 100% clear. But most of them are the uneducated ones and as a lot say a "minority of the group".

I personally like how this video here shows just that.

Forgot the Forum has youtube quick tabbing. I hate how so many forums are different. And the fact that I am old school.

Hey, that's not news!! Let's talk about how many Tea Partyers were arrested in any of their protests. Oh that's right, none.
You simply don't understand Nanci. The tea party is a radical racist fringe group and the occupiers are a down home grassroots movement. Just ask the MSM. ;)

I saw a blip on the news last night. Supposedly the Occupy movement is looked upon much more favorably by the general public than the Tea Party movement.....apparently a poll was taken.....

What kind of sheeple think it's okay to shut down a port? How is that solving anything? What message is that sending? I hafta be uproared about that...

Can I print some money? I'd like to be able to afford a Palmetto without having to work for it. Maybe if I go Occupy The Mountain.
