Oh, Craigslist...

Poor baby BP.....(although it's not a baby if it's 8, what on earth were they feeding it??) The head shape is completely different from corn to ball python. Nevermind the size differences...but 8 years? That's just nuts! I'd be tempted if if were closer to me...although I'd rather find a BP that actually -stays- purple...

Oh, I just posted a thread about this, but I guess I'll post it here too. Look what I found on craigslist:

$50 for an albino BP is a really good price. I'd go for it if I had $50 xD

I don't know Ball Pythons at all, but google-searching adult examples makes me think that that animal looks very underfed. You can see the underside of its stomach to the right of his palm: is that curved in? It's could be so cheap because they just don't care anymore and are trying to rid themselves of an animal that's just wasting space.

Hard to imagine they would think the albino ball is a corn, since they must have paid a lot more than $50 for it 8 years ago. It sure doesn't look 8 years old. I suppose maybe a friend or relative left it to them when they moved, or something similar happened. Or maybe they just found a photo on the Web and thought it looked like their albino corn snake, so posted the found photo instead of their own? Who knows? People can be weird, lol!

I got a real kick out of this ad!

I'm sure she meant 'carpet python', but even if she did, it's a ball python!

I went ahead and bought him, he is building us a deck and will start on all custom cabinetry for the kitchen when he is done. He does a decent job for a guy with no arms.

On a happier note, the Moonstone from this ad is very very tempting....that is a moonstone yes, not just plain anery? I might have to ask about it....$35 is -really- good I think??

http://syracuse.craigslist.org/pet/4666433736.html

Well, someone liked him because he is sold! I agree from the picture, regular anery. Okay, "Fancy Anery" if we want to use the PetSmart description to make it sound better.

If it were a moonstone I would have snapped him up for $35!

Should be interesting.....especially since most of us could collect our own "antivenom" snakes for free if we wanted to.....it's not as if it's difficult to find a canebrake around here...

What kind of incubator should I use?

For what? Cornsnake eggs? I just use a plastic tub with tiny pin holes, perlite that has been wetted until it clumps...put eggs in....close lid...stick tub somewhere warmish....like on top of a stereo, TV or refrigerator and wait....
