Oh, Craigslist...

yeah that snake is not 2 years old... they meant two months... but just sad how the poor snake has had his owner for 3 weeks or so tops and now she's tired :(

I wouldn't be so sure about that.. Crazier things have happened, unfortunately! :( I've taken in a few 2 year old tortoises... That were legitimately 2 years old! That were the size of 1-2 month old hatchlings. It's much, much more uncommon in snakes, because it's sooo much harder to underfeed and neglect them THAT severely... But I have no doubts that it's very, dreadfully possible...

Poor sweet baby. I hope whoever gets him has a brain and actually FEEDS HIM properly! Ugh!

What's wrong with this picture?

I am sure he will come out on demand.

I was inquiring about a long snake the other day. I asked a few questions and was given no answer. They didn't know how old the snake what, they didn't know what type of king it was. They couldn't answer anything, then proceeded to tell me I ask to many questions. I guess I was just supposed to contact them with no picture on the add and tell them I would be right over to get the snake knowing nothing about it.

Wow look at his spine... I wish I had the resources to take in snakes like this and get them healthy... And give them good homes. That poor thing.

I want to reach out and slap the stupid out of their heads. How do you have a pet and NOT bother to research it??? Gaaahhhhh!

I've been trying to trade for viv's so I can slowly build a bunch of viv's and basically foster rescues

Yay! That is what I do! I have 13 corns and 1 Mexican King, some were purchased from local breeders, some are from Craigslist ads.

CL usually has aquariums for sale, and go to garage sales and thrift stores. I prefer to purchase my own UTHs, they are cheap and with a used one you don't know if it really works or is a fire hazard.

It is like they KNOW you rescued them from bad conditions and build trust with you quickly.

Was there a surge in dumbassery when I wasn't looking?? really??
*roll eyes* poor animals at least they are being rehomed.. this is why I am scared of breeding... I wouldn't know where the snakes are going :(

Right??? When I get a rescue I know they are NOW in good hands, but I would have a hard time letting my babies go knowing there are ads like this on CL, but think of all the ignorant people who don't even BOTHER to place the ad. Just dump it out in the desert is way too common here. Sigh. :awcrap:

-________________- ..... "I thought it would be cool"............ I CAN'T WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

If I could house a snake that could potentially grow to 12 feet, I would snatch this guy up right now.
However, as mentioned in the sentence above, I don't have room for it because I DID MY RESEARCH..This poor snake is just getting passed around because people are too ignorant to be responsible and/or do research. This makes me sad.

Speaking of "dumbassery", here is one I just found without even digging! The first one is in the CL ad, the second is from Reptiles by Mack.
