I had fun volunteering at a little expo-type event in the park today... it is so nice to finally live in a town big enough to support a reptile club. I only brought two snakes to the event but as the following posts will show we had quite a bit of stuff on display.
First pics - setting up, pavilion with banner, misc signs

One section featured native animals including a divided tank with a gopher snake on one side and "fluffy" the rattlesnake on the other to educate people on the differences. We also had baby garters, rubber boas, and western toads...

I took about a hundred pictures, some of my favorites -
Cave dwelling ratsnake, albino ball python, greyband kingsnake, hypo hog island boa, and a legless lizard

Some scorpions were in a display case with blacklight to show how they flouresce, but my favorite was tucked away - a mama and her brood.
The cool snakeskin is from a central american rattlesnake'
Ares the hypo was so well behaved! I also let him go climbing so I could get a tree shot.

Awww, looks like the show was lots of fun! I ended up not going because I took a trip to Portland. My job literally was to keep my boyfriend awake during the drive. I wish I'd been able to go to this event, it looks relaxing and fun! My day was not as fun as yours!

Thanks for sharing the pics!

Nice pics! The baby scorpions are kind of creepy. I like the legless lizard- sort of makes me miss the ones I had.
