Pictures from the Tampa Show

I may be wrong...

I really just read this thread and there seems to be a disagreement on the the mystery python. I may be wrong (it did happen once) but I believe it is the yellow phase Children's Python.

I think the problem is that there are two "unidentified" snakes here.

A: Katie's picture of what I and Beothan are calling a carpet python, which is pictured above as "I don't know what it is but it was cooperative" (to paraphrase and

B: The mystery snakes that I mentioned in chat, that I asked Katie and Mike and possibly Craig if they knew what they were while we were standing in front of them, and no one knew, that Elle suspects were Scrub Pythons, based on my description in chat, ruling out everyone's other suggestions after looking them up on Google Images.

Next time- I'll take a picture!!

Oh wait a minute...

the ones with the greenish/bluish tint! I remember them. Can't identify them, but I remember them.
Katie's pic if not a Carpet, Children's would be my guess.

katie's pic is def a carpet python or a close relative to one. As for the mystery snakes....greenish/bluish tinted pythons?

They were a mottled pattern, not really defined, relatively deep green, with (as I remember it) yellow blotches. Like take a Carpet python for example- that is a very definite defined pattern. These didn't have bands or saddles or reticulation or anything like that. I'm just going to have to watch for them again, and take a picture.

It has been bothering...

the mess outta me what those pythons may have been. Has anybody done any work with Rock Pythons? I just glanced at them and I related the pattern to a Rock.

Rocks are a lot like burmese... the python pictured is not a rock. IMO it looks like a JCP, however the head shape is a little bulky... Maybe it was overweight lol

As for the mystery snake in chat , the way Nanci described it, I would be inclined to guess Scrub or Amethystine python but withought pictures I guess it remains a mystery.

I'm thinking my next snake needs to be a Locality Rosy, but not an albino, Craig, Trevor says the albinos are all jerks. I _knew_ I never should have held that sucker...

Can you really blame them though? I mean, I know I'd be a HUGE jerk if I was an albino

I remember the snakes...

Nanci was describing in chat. They appeared to be similar to Rocks. The pictured snake I guess to be a Carpet or Children's.
