I was to understand there would be brownies. Brownies = God!!! Bring me brownies, and I'll catch the holy ghost... promise ;)!

lets say atheism = false
atheism^2 = atheism * false
atheism^2 + atheism^2 = atheism^2 + atheism * false
2atheism^2 = atheism^2 + atheism * false
2atheism^2 - 2atheism * false = atheism^2 + atheism * false - 2atheism * false
2atheism^2 - 2atheism * false = atheism^2 = 2atheism^2 - atheism * false
2(atheism^2 - atheism * false) = 1(theism^2 - atheism * false)
atheism = not false

there is part some of my proof i have more but it takes long time to make it in english

Atheism can't equal both false and not false....that's like saying 1 + 1 = 2 and 1 + 1 =/= 2.....just doesn't work. Therefore proof = stupid.

After 16 pages we've proved nothing except possibly god lives in Florida (or so he thinks) and time consists of water, flour, sugar and yeast.:roflmao:

There's no yeast in brownies! I'm never having dessert at your house...

You are all going to hell. I guess you know that.

I have my hand basket already picked out...

Dear crazy:

I did disprove your mathematical "proof" by showing that a simple substitution of theism (belief in a deity or some sort) in the place of a-theism (anti-belief in a deity) produces the same result, meaning the "proof" is flawed.

And actually, time is NOT moving. It is simply our perception of it. Quantum theory says that time is rather like a sliced loaf of bread, infinitely long. This exact "now" is one slice. My perception happens to only travel in one direction on the loaf, but that doesn't mean the other slices don't exist. All time exists at the *same* time so by quantum theory, we actually live forever because those "nows" keep happening. This in turn could be an interesting example of explanations for deja vu where you actually affect something. For example, back in highschool a friend bought a letter opener and goblet and brought the un-opened box to school. She opened it at lunch time and right on the top of the packaging peanuts was the letter opener and next to it was the goblet. There was still a good 5 or 6 inches of packaging peanuts in the box. I got a strong sense of deja vu, turned to her and said "Where's the second letter opener?" and she insisted she had bought only one. She went to go chuck the box out and I convinced her to humor me and once she dug all the packaging out, there along the side, flush to the bottom, was a second little letter opener. The feeling of Deja Vu probably lasted a good 5 minutes and could be explained as my perception jumping forward a few "slices" and then back, which means my perception traveled back again so I have now disproven your thing about time as well.

changing variable names does not disprove it at all

everything i said goes with quantum theory as for it being infinitely long i do not see the math or proof behind it i have seen it added in when it is described in simple terms to make it less hard for people to understand

and where is ur proof that what u say happened anyone could have made it up

and as for everyone who is saying my english has gotten better it is because i have been using a translator and thesaurus much much more and this thread has learned me more words so i can tell my thoughts

I have never understood the venom of many (not all) atheist or any other form of non believers. If you don't believe and I do, then fine, why try to convince me of how stupid and ridiculous I am. I tend to save my judgements of stupidity for those instances of when a person knowingly engages in activity that is harmful to themselves. Even then, I keep my thoughts to my self unless asked.

Even if a person doesn't believe, is it so terrible to follow the simple guidelines in the Bible? Is treating other people with dignity and respect and not murdering, cheating on your spouse and all the other Golden Rules such a bad thing?

I am not and will not debate God with anyone on here, I just never understand the venom and attacks by non believers. Maybe the non believers are are the ones insecure in their beliefs or lack of.

I am GROWN and like many other Christians, my Faith should not be mistaken for weakness or stupidity, it is just how I choose to live my life.

On a funny note, my Dad and I have always said the same thing "It is a good thing I am not God, there would be allot of smoking asses around this place"

Attack or lash out if you want, I won't argue back, there is no need to think you can change my beliefs and I can not change yours.

This is because most of the time they aren't treated with respect. Atheists have been called not-human, and are regularly told they're going to hell. That doesn't exactly put one with a sweet and cheerful mood.

It should also be noted that just like your faith should not be mistaken for weakness or stupidity, someones lack of faith should also not be mistaken for weakness or stupidity. i.e., lack of faith does not mean people are 'insecure in their beliefs'. People argue for their beliefs strongly because that is what they believe, be it atheism or theistic. Saying that someone who argues strongly for atheism must be insecure in their lack of belief is like saying that someone who argues strongly for Christianity or Judaism or Islam etc.. is also insecure in their belief. It just doesn't make sense.

It must have something to do with the season, I don't know. I have been called a heathen because I was a Catholic, I have been told my LDS grnad-daughter went to hell because that is a non-Christian cult who don't accept JC as their lord and savior, because I study other religions...and saw the "DaVinci Code". All by the same person in the name of her Christianity, and she considers herself main stream Christian.
I won't deny her, her belief, but don't deny me my belief.
I also think the reason this post got edgy, the OP was trying to prove the existance of Allah/God with a bad equation. See I won't bend to science to prove the unprovable. The existance of god/gods, bible/torah/koran, is not for me to prove or anyone to tell me I'm wrong, not even Christians.

I can prove it...just look at all the wonders of this world. If we evolved from monkeys as Darwin said...then why are there still monkeys? I see God when I awake in the morning after having a really bad day and praying to make it another, I see Him when I look at my kids, I see Him when I breathe. You can't "see" wind, but you know it is there...just like God..you see the results..and how do we know that the person we see walking down the street or even the beggar in the corner isn't him, just seeing if we will notice. Plus when my Mom died, I saw a bright light beaming at her bedside then as she took her last breath, the light moved away as she did. And when my Grandma died, I was there. She had been in a coma and came out of it and said she saw her sister who had died years ago and she was going to be with her..the next day she died. And this is the story that send shivvers up my spine. My Granddad went down hill after Grandma died. One day while visiting him, he was talking about how Grandma was at the foot of his bed and she looked so beautiful and was waiting on him. Then the next day, he was at a nursing home where he moved in to be with her, and some man in a suit and tie came to see him. The nurse said she had never seen him before. He said he was a relative. So she let him in the room but stayed by the door...never leaving waiting for the guy to come out. After some time she got worried so she went into his room and the guy was gone. When she asked Granddad who it was and where did he go...he told her that he was his angel and said he would be coming back in 3 days to take him Home....she was freaked because he never came back out of the room..just vanished...3 days later, he died. Faith is believing even though we may not see.

Epic comprehension fail.

If you know nothing about evolution, kindly refrain from commenting about it.

i do not believe in a heaven or hell for obvious flaws in its design i believe it was made up by people to put fear in people

i am not trying to prove if we where made by a god or not i am simply proving that at least one god created the universe

u try and put words in my mouth so to speak to win ur semantical argument

calling it stupid and makes no sense does not disprove it

there is no reason why nature would make 3 spatial dimension and then randomly make a temporal one which is nothing like the other three in pretty much any cents

and i ur trying to turn this into a discussion about evolution which it is not i was trying to make humor with the animal part

and if u are trying to say i am stupid u should read ur own arguments they are as stupid as stupid gets as u are trying to change the subject and make fun of it rather then facing it and refuting it

Who is to say what "nature" would create? Why do you know this? Where did you learn this? Who told you what nature wants?!

If nature itself told you, I believe that you may have Schizophrenia, and that you should consult a doctor.

Dimensions were not created by nature. They simply are, humans have just come up with names for them. Typically, this is how humans come to understand things. We name things, describe what they are, and how they work. People have created things, then named them, described what they do, and how they work. Most things in nature are well, natural. They did not come with names, or definitions, they just were.

Here is a riddle of sorts for you to ponder:

What is a tree? Well it is a plant, but what is a plant? Well a plant is a living organism, and a member of the kingdom Plantae, but what are living organisms, and members of the kingdome Plantae? Well... Living organisms are made up of cells, but what are cells? Well, cells are made up of-

Do you see my point?

Just because there ARE three dimensions, doesn't mean that any, one thing created them.

Also, if English was not your first language, wouldn't you learn to speak/write it properly? Try this translation site. You simply select what language you want to translate into English, type in what you want to say, in your primary language, and hit translate. Then copy and paste the English into your posts.

Note: There currently is no option for translating improper English to proper English.

I had a funny thought while I read your post. Have you ever had an atheist missionary knock on your door? I don't think atheist are the only ones trying to sell a bill of goods here.

Um, Camby?

If anyone has every ridiculed the faith of anyone on here, I am sorry. However, to pretend as though it's those big mean atheists against all the nice believers is ridiculous. You know how when public figures are trying to be PC, they'll mention something like Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and "all other faiths?"

Imagine what it's like to not even get a mention. Nothin'. Might as well not exist about 90% of the time.

I want everyone to believe whatever they want, but push it on me are try to argue it as "factual" or "scientific", then I won't hold back.

God is LOVE: 1 John 4:8

Honestly, I've come to realize that when someone has to get so ridiculously heated over something that they don't know much about, it's a good indication at how insecure they are about the topic. You say that there is no solid proof of God then find me proof that there isn't a God.

There are three scenarios that could come from this challenge:

#1 - You'll yell at me or be rude and then ignore the challenge because you're afraid of what you'll find.
#2 - You'll just plain ignore the challenge because, once again, you're afraid of what you may find.
#3 - You'll attempt to prove me wrong and be changed for the better.

The option is yours.

There is no hell. This is a scare tactic that the Roman Catholic church dreamed up back in the day in order to scare people into coming to church to pay their tithes.

God stated that Satan and his followers will eventually be "burned in hellfire", but nowhere does it ever state that humans will be tormented for all eternity. That's awful and honestly, it does more to scare people away from God and the truth than to bring them in. Satan works on us in many ways, and he just happened to snag the Roman Catholic church long enough to ruin the chance for a lot of people to make it.

But can you define "love" for me? This is the Oxford English Dictionary definition of love,
As an abstract quality or principle. (Sometimes personified.)
Though God is mentioned several times throughout this entry, no where did I find that God = Love. :shrugs:

Can you tell me who was taking notes when God was speaking?

Also, I've never seen a photograph of God, or Jesus, or the Holy Spirit for that matter, could you locate one of those for me?

After all, seeing is believing!
