The prize of my wild-caught collection has passed. I know I posted a ton of him before, but it's been a few years, and it's unlikely I'll ever come across another quite like him.

He didn't father a good clutch his last two years, though I witnessed breeding activity. Clay Davenport, Lee Abbott, and Don Soderberg have all the F1's left that I know of. He lived a good life and bred many a female in my and others collections. I'd guess he was near grown when caught and made it about 20 years in captivity.

Condolences. What an outstanding corn. Hopefully his great looks and health will live on in his descendents.

Indeed he was a beauty! Looks like he left his mark on the world bigger than most people!

Condolences Chip! Sounds like he had a good life with you though and has many decendants out there, so he lives on in them. He was a beauty as well!

RIP Rhett :(

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! He was my favoritist Okeetee ever!

I'm gonna go cry myself to sleep now

Sorry to hear that Chip... atleast he lead a good life. He was a beautiful Okeetee.

:-offtopic I remember that picture and the abuse Cav gave about the shirt in picture... ah good times.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. He won't ever be replaceable! He had a good long life with you, I'm sure.

I suppose he passed his genetic material on to as many progeny as a member of his species could, which is the scientific definition of genetic success. I just wish I'd have held on to a few more of them. There is just something about those wild-caught okeetees. They are so muscular and sinewy beside a cb.

Wow! What a snake he was! I wonder if anyone who has offspring from him could post pics? I'd love to see them..
He looks like such a perfect okeetee, I wouldn't have ever guessed him to be a wild caught...

Clay has at least one pair of his offspring, I'll see if I can get him to snap a couple. I sent one of his prettiest "sons" to Lee Abbott several years ago, too. That one was special. I *think* this was him at about 18 months:

Aww thats so sad. But being at least 20 years is a good age.
I cant remember many pics of corns as there are so many put up every day, but the first pic that you put up in this thread i can remember from about 5-6 years ago. Such a stunning snake, once seen never forgotten.
