Another thread got me googling ( darn google) for info. on a sarcasm font. I mean how many misunderstandings and flame posts start for lack of understanding a sarcastic comment?
I'm not sure what it would take to get it here, but the smart people at The Sarcastic Font movement ( the top of the google list) had a brain fart and here it is: ( they even have a Manifesto and Usage Guide.)

I think the back slanting font ( or is it forward slanting?) is subtle enough not to take away from the text, but indicative enough to avoid confusion...
What do you all think?
and to Rich:
Could this be done?

*** I put it up over on Fauna as well.

1) I think y'all would all get tired of me over-using it, but
2) Yes, I would probably piss a lot fewer people off.

Or, 3)...on the other hand...a lot more... :D

I voted it probably wouldn't make a difference. There are people who regardless of a font or not are going to take what you say the wrong way anyway.

You are probably correct, but I voted for it anyway. It definitely couldn't hurt.

I like it. :)

Although sometimes it's fun to make an incredibly sarcastic post that people take seriously. Just for fun. :D

I do this to my students all the time.

"Did I miss anything when I was out on Tuesday?"

"[sarcasm]No of course not. We were all so sad that you weren't here we just sat around and moped.[/sarcam]"

"Really?"

It takes them about two months before they realize that the answers to inane questions are typically given in sarcastic form. I think it's an indication of personal growth on their part.

I know I personally use sarcasm, sometimes just to
picture.php
which frequently lands me in

. Sometimes I don't even realize what I've done until somebody

and even then it might require
picture.php
before I realize I've
picture.php
. By that time the thread has turned into a
picture.php
. It's at this point I find myself having to

before I get
picture.php
.

Anyway, that's just my

. I think it's a great idea.

This reminds me of Highlights magazine as a child. Ah, sweet nostalgia.

Clearly I have need to stop wasting so much time posting on forums, eh? :grin01:

Robbie, my kiddos on the fish board are always bugging me for new smilies, so I tend to overindulge them, but hey, whatever makes 'em happy!
