The question isn't what he did or did not do...the question is, "What could anyone in the world could have done in 12 days in his position to earn such an award that USED to have meaning to it." Let's face it, though, the Nobel for the non-science categories hasn't been given on true merit in many, many years. Even the science ones have been reduced, but they have not sunk that low yet. Thankfully.
Remember how it was such an amazing thing that Watson and Crick got their award so soon after publishing such an important paper? They deserved it, but the speed was still a first in many ways even though everyone KNEW the discoverer of the structure of DNA would win it. Now, you can win it on campaign promises and lies BEFORE even accomplishing anything.....lol.
