~*Spring Photo Contest Announcement!!*~

So there will be two 1st winners (Corn snake and other reptiles categories). Who among those 2 will choose the prize first? Same for the second and third positions on both categories.

It's whomever chooses first. A PM will be sent out to both winners at the same time, and whoever responds first gets it.
And as Eriathiel pointed out, the winner of the CS category automatically wins the pair of bloods from Drizzt80.

Just bumping this up again to remind people to start thinking about their entries, and to also take a look at the added rules (they don't affect picture composition, just prizes).

Ladies and gentlemen, we have our first entries!

Please don't forget to include your screen-name on here in the e-mail when you submit your photos!

I have so many ideas for this photo contest! I'll definetly be entering, I just have to find the most cooperative snake!

Macro normally requires a tripod to do decent. The other choice would be to take the shot normally and then crop it down to the size that you want. That will enlarge it somewhat when you go to submit it.

I never have to use a tripod. Then again, I also have it on the stability/anti-shake setting whenever I take a picture. I'm bad about taking fuzzy pictures. >_<

If you are bad about taking fuzzy pictures, it'll show you that the anti-shake setting can only go so far to helping a photography :) Because the macro is taking such a sharp shot, any shaking no matter how minute will make a difference... or at least that's what the experts tell me. What do they know :)

I know, right? LOL. That definitely makes sense, though. Although I do like to think I have a steady hand where it counts.

A member just posed an excellent question:
"What category do hybrids belong in?"

They'll go into the "Other reptile" category, because they are not "pure" corns. The Cornsnake category is for only corn snakes, not hybrids.

So what is considered "spring"? I mean, if I take a shot of a snake in some nice flowers, is that "springy"?
I don't think I have any easter or st pattys day stuff here to use for backgrounds?!?

Flowers say "Spring" to me!
