yea and your point is???????????? How else did you want him to catch it. If I
m not mistakin he learnd from hi dad.

So, that points out that he did handle animals the way he did on tv already before he got on tv..... it looks like you are able to read but don't have a clue what words mean or something like that.... words are not useless combinations of letters y'know....

Can you please inform me and show me in a calculated example how donating money would make me richer then not donating money? If you succeed to, I go do that and you can have 20% of my earnings, ok?

And for your information, I do have a job..... it is clear that you did not look at my calculated example or did but not understand it and that your logic is actually pretty weird.... though we knew that already.

I forgot to tell that I really wanted to say I'm blessed to not be your sister in my other post, but I did not want to be rude again..... but I get closer to feeling like it, I can tell you.

I think the point here, Vinman, is that this was a thread started by those of us who mourn Steve's passing because we were fans of his show. No one ever stated it better than the person who asked if you would walk into the real-time wake of a person you disliked and start spouting off about what an idiot he or she was. I can tell you right now that I wouldn't walk into your wake and do the same- it's called having tact and being civil, two concepts which appear to have missed your gene pool entirely.

OMG I was thinking of bringing up tact and civility, but you did and worded it a lot better then I would have done probably.... :grin01:

I realy dont feel sorry that he died. To me he was a idot I feel sorry for his family. When I watched his show he abused the animals and stressed them out not like O'sha and all the others that do the same type of show. A sting ray will not attack you for no reason . Steve had to be harassing the poor thing for it to attack him.

:shrugs:

Good Lord, Vinman, are you typing with oven mitts on? Does your browser not support spellcheck?

Back ON TOPIC (something Vinman seems to have forgotten about) Though I didn't always agree with Steve Irwin's approach to animals in the wild, he was great at bringing animals into the spotlight, animals that most of the world feared because of their lack of knowledge and understanding, and his conservation efforts (Land he has bought and used for animal sanctuaries etc) were truly great. He was an entertainer and an educator and he really loved what he did, which is great.

I have much sympathy for his family for their loss.

Steve was definitely a friend to wildlife. Although his point may have been lost on many due to his on screen antics he was a conservationist at heart. I enjoyed "The Crocodile Hunter" although I am more of a Jeff Corwin fan myself. There was something delightfull about seeing that Australian in short shorts dancing around giant crocodiles and venomous snakes. I'm sad for his family and his family at Australia zoo, with his death the world has lost a true friend to animals all over the world. AS for the people who went out and killed stingrays after Steve's death they need to read their copy of Moby Dick.

well well

I see your still at Vinman

Let me put it this way I think you are a complete jerk(my opinion) but that said unless they go back and read what I have said to you just now and before when you die no one will here that from me should they decide to post a notice of your passing here. Because obviously they are posti9ng it to deal with their feelings of loss loosing you from our little community. It would be heartless for me to post in said forum any such nastiness. I had I on spur of the moment done such and someone called me on it I would not go into the point by point arguement of why I thought you were a jerk I would show remorse and state that I would keep further opinions to my self and apologise for my tactlessness. Even little old you deserves that respect why not show that general human respect for others. Even the comments of other famous herp guys you mention in your posts are kind regrets and salutations despite the fact that there methods may differ.

Well to put it nicely I think you are a total penis, (my opinion). If you would not have posted I would have not responed and gone away, so instead of leaving things alone, you bring me back to the thread to arguee with you .If you dont like what I have to say it is your problem, this is my oppion on the man . I knew that one day he would be dead or hurt bad. It is a shame that he put his family through this, all because he took to many risks. If he did things more professional he would be alive . I hope the young people that idleize him learn from his death.

You have GOT to be kidding. The man died from a FREAK accident. There was more of a risk of drowning than dying the way he did. I think you are rude and disrespectful and have the social skills of a sand flea. Everytime you post you display your ignorance. I pity you.

The man died because he was careless . I sure if he would approached it from the side it would not have stung him . but he hubbared over it and got stung. When I worked in a petshop the was mainly a saltwater pet shop I would see the same reaction in some rays. when ypu come from over the top they get scared they can see very well when you approach it from the side they see wat is comming their way. He also could have approached from the front . Like I said He had no business messing with sea life . he should have stuck with what he knew I would like to see the video of him getting stung. I like to see how he approached it and seen if it was his foolish anticks that got him killed or a freak accident. I would put my money on his behavior is what got him killed. Maybe the next episode of When Animals Attack or Faces of Death.
Caio, Vinny

And I guess the other 3 people in history who died the same way were careless too. His guard was down because sting rays are non aggressive and considered harmless. Irwin was ANYTHING but careless. If he WAS careless he would have died long before now. He dealt with dangerous animals many times a day,EVERY FREAKING DAY for 36 years!!!!
You just keep making friends and influencing people Vinnipoo, you're doing a great job!!

You come off as such a creep. You realize that don't you? You have no more right to pass judgement on Steve Irwin than Steve Irwin does on you. You aren't an expert on anything relating to this situation either. For your information, the man who has been a close personal friend and director (videographer) or Steve's for the last 15 years (I believe it was 15 years) has confirmed that Steve had indeed worked with sting rays on many occassions. This was by far not his first time and he was not out of his realm of expertise. It was an accident. There is no way to predict what an animal is going to do. Regardless of which direction he approached it from, he could have still been hurt.
Again, we all forget what an expert and saint Vinman is. Vinman worked at a petshop...we must all bow to Vinman. Gosh, petshop employee, zoo volunteer,...you've really seen/done it all.
Maybe before you go betting on something as petty as another man's life, you should think about donating that money to charity. Afterall, last time I checked, gambling was not a tax-deductible right-off.

Just tried to rep you Zwyatt. It wouldn't let me. Just wanted you to know your post was my thoughts exactly but you said it better than I ever could.

this is why I agree with Cousteau in not touching nature. Like he said he has been doing it for 61 years and dont touch dangous animals. That is why he is still alive . this is what you call a smart man.
