Stump and Tequila! My Beardies!

Lol, silly kitty. Stump is definitely looking better! =)

It's been a couple days since your last update... (I know, I'm so demanding!) How're they doing?

Very good! Stump can now climb up on his basking spot(although it is only 6inches off the ground)and he's learning from his big brother how to beg! Tequila is very very fiesty!! We take him out on a leash everyday and he loves to dig! You know when he wants to go outside, because he scratches like crazy on his glass and when you put the leash on him he runs for the door! It's like having a very strange looking dog! LOL!

It's good to hear Stump is doing better, and that Tequila's doing well... Lol, Tequila sounds something like my oldest dog--she turns from grumpy, short-tempered old lady into an excited puppy the moment you even imply you're going for a walk. It's wonderful to hear he's settled into his new home so nicely. =)

Tequila sounds like a real character, lol. It's great that Stump is starting to climb, he sounds like his on his way to recovery, I'll still keep my fingers crossed for the little guy.

So,I've got a question. What can I put in Tequila's viv for him to dig in? That's all he wants to do!! And yes he's a he. I don't want to put sand in because he is a major licker. This boy will lick anything in his path multiple times. Is there something I can put in there in a play box that will satisfy him but not hurt him if he licks it? The scratching of the slate tiles is getting kind of annoying, but, I don't want to get rid of the slate because it cleans really easily and it keeps his nails trimmed down. Any suggestions?

Well, that's what I originally planned on doing, but, I wasn't sure if it was safe since he does lick everything. I think I remember Nanci saying Isabel isn't really a licker. Well,Tequila is almost OCD about it! Every surface he comes in contact with he has to lick multiple times. Even all his viv stuff! It's funny to watch but I wasn't sure about the play sand being licked.

What if you put in a container of sand and see what happens? He might lick once or twice, and then stop. That's what I'd expect. (Phone rinGing, more later- at work!)

If I take Isabel out, she has to lick a couple things when she gets back in, but it isn't frequent licking once she's back in there. She doesn't walk around licking.

Hmmm.......well maybe I'll go ahead and give the play sand a try, then. He just really really wants to dig! It seems like our outdoor excursions just aren't enough for him! LOL!

MOM!!??Is it time to go outside yet?? Can I,Can I?

Getting snuggly after a bath!

That is so cute, my little boy is doing the take me out dance right now(and messing up his tank in the process). Guess I should go get him, lol.

Yeah, he's a persistant little bugger! He tore that tank up waiting for me to get him out. Hide is pushed to the other side, food bowl is tipped over, greens are spread around everywhere. All for a 20 minute excursion and a 10 minute bath. He hates baths, too! He should know by now it's the price you pay for going outside to play! LOL!

Makes me wish I could buy a leash for my snakes and bundle up like babies! I don't think they'd tolerate that very well though!

You could put a leash on a burm and walk him down the street. He might snag a rat-dog or two along the way as a snack.

(BTW, I do NOT recommend that. Neighbors tend to get... nervous.)

LMAO! Lucky for me,I don't have neighbors! Wonder what would happen if I got pulled over in my car with a burm chillin' in the passenger seat on a leash? Matt and I have often joked about that. Think they'd just let us go?!

Well, I just read through this whole thing and thats awesome of you to take in stump when he was so sick! He is a cutie. Is he still doing good?

Yes,he's doing suprisingly well and has gained about 5g since we got him. Starting to climb around a lot more and now moves in and out of his hide on his own. Still syringe feeding(which is fine with me).
