Super Hypo?

Has anybody tried creating a super hypo melanistic? With all the different forms of hypomelanism? Like a sunkissed/hypo/lava? Or sun kissed/strawberry/lava? Just curious what it would look like...

what do you mean by super hypo? A combo of different hypo forms? I thought I read on here that there were combo's of hypo and sunkissed, hypo and strawberry is a very common combo, I think there was also a sunkissed lava.

I completely left out ultra (although this would not be a 100% corn) so in all actuality there could be an ultra-hypo-sunkissed-lava or ultra-strawberry-sunkissed-lava. I'm surprised nobody has worked on trying to do this.

The ones whose parents I used to catch. That's about all that I could say for sure.

From reading on-line it seems that the term "super", when applied to corn snakes, is usually used to mean homozygous for a specific gene. Like a super Tessera. Of course most morph genes in corn snakes seem to be recessive, so just refering to the morph is enough, Amel, Anery, Sunkissed, etc.

The whole "what is a pure corn" debate has been discussed enough in other post. Personally, I'm of the conviction that until we agree what "pure" means, even a wild caught animal is suspect.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Don Soderberg comment that the originator of ultra corns finally admitted to them being hybrids?

If that's the case, then there is no such thing as a corn snake. ;)

There may not be, as more than one breeder has talked about releasing captive bred "leftovers" into the wild over a span of many, many years, and even the Hunt Club was not exempt from these "releases".

Hearsay, rumor, he said she said. It's hard enough to just enjoy the hobby these days ;)
