It's Jager time!
A wee thread to showcase as many Candoia pictures as possible. These fantastic wee boas need more fans! I currently own paulsoni, tasmai and carinata, what have you got?

Tips/advice on husbandry? How do you keep your candoia? Just chat mini boas!

Heres a couple of pictures of my lot...

At first I wasnt paying attention and thought it said "canada appreciation thread" :)

I don't know much about Candoia...but they are very interesting looking snakes. I like the look of the halmahera ground boas. and the solomon isle has a nice color.

I just don't see how anyone can object to a 3ft 650 gram adult female boa? LOL

Or wait wait... no. A 2ft 150 gram adult BREEDING female boa LOL.

Ever since you first posted pics of these beautiful species I have been hooked. I still don't know when I am getting one. Last time I emailed with Jerry (in december) his females still had not dropped and he didn't seem to think they were going to. Looks like my deposit may be holding me a spot for offspring this year instead.

Ack thats poop Katie. I would say shop around but getting a CB baby from Jerry is your best bet. He is THE Candoia man.

But then look at Robbie, he got that fabulous female recently. For a stupid price too...

I know...and I have seen a few at shows at really good prices too - but I don't know if they are CB or anything...the people selling them didn't seem to be on the "up and up" if you know what I mean.

I would rather wait and get one from Jerry directly, regardless if it means waiting longer or paying more. At least I know for certain what I am getting.

Too true. You really can't take the risk with freshly imported Candoia, they do tend to drop like flies. Because they are lizard eaters they can be full of parasites/worms etc.

The only WC ones I have are the carinata but even at that they are LTC (Over 4 years).... theres just no such thing as CB carinata in the UK yet. Nobody can keep babies alive, I just hope I can do something right, but I don't expect to be very successful.

They are such cool snakes! How do you properly pronounce Candoia, I feel like I'm saying it wrong in my head...lol
