The official "Movies so bad they are great!" thread!

MoonStruck w/ Cher and Nicholas Cage!

This is a terrible movie that is hard to follow, but funny as hell. Every time it's on, we have to watch it!

Wayne

I know that I am probably going to get a lot of criticism for this but the best worst movie ever would have to be snatch. I couldn't help but to scratch my head at the end.

In an effort to make sure that the 80's punk rock classics and represented, I must present these for consideration.

And who can forget Flea's best line ever, "My name is Razzle man", in...

Mmm, that didn't work out so well...anyway I presented Repo Man and Suburbia... and just to make things clear, horrible acting...own one of them and would love to own the other.

Black Dog!! Any movie with Randy Travis, Meatloaf, and Patrick Swayze is going to be awesomely bad!!

"Some people say bread is life, and I bake bread, bread, bread *clears throat* and I sweat." For some reason that line always stuck out in my head. I did like the movie but I can't forget that part..

Good ones! Have you seen Straight to Hell? Same director as Repo Man.

I was thinking about adding Over the Top, but to say that it's so bad it becomes good might be taking things too far.

How about the Dawn of the Dead series?

Yep, I love that part and I always remember a young sweaty Cage in a wife beater. :dgrin:

I love that movie. Another favorite quote would be "Somebody tell a joke!".

tom e, dawn of the dead series is an absolute must for any zombie lover...I haven't seen Straight to Hell but I think I'll have to find it soon

Just in case you thought it might be, Straight to Hell isn't a zombie movie. It's more of a western in setting, but is really unclassifiable. I found it pretty forgettable, but very quirky and campy. I might have to dig through the VHS tapes and give it another watch.

Wow... I've seen some great ones here... I agree with:

Lake Placid,
Clash of the Titans,
The Princess Bride!!

Right now I'm not thinking straight... pretty upset (someone PLEASE remove the knife from my back)... So I'll have to get back and post some of my own.

But this thread helped me smile a bit. Thanks, Chip!

"I lost my hand! I lost my bride! He has his hand! He has his bride!"

Or at the very end, when he puts his hands on his head (the old man), "I'm so confused?"

"If you feed another piece of my food, to those dogs, I am gonna kick you till your dead!"

And then there is "Cosmo's Moon!"

The other funny one was "Is she dead yet?" "No, I can still hear her big mouth!"

That movie is so bad, but at the same time, so awesome! I love it!

Another Terrible but good movie is, Evil Dead II! I especially like the part, when the guys hand became possessed and he was beating himself with the dishes!

The Princess Bride was a classic, as well as Willow. Snatch was a good movie, it wasn't even bad. Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts, and the Spaghetti Westerns are all classic good/bad movies. Red Dawn has always been any true American's favorite movie. I mean, who doesn't want the Red Army to invade the US, only to be defeated by a small group of rag tag high school kids in the mountains. Why has no one said Conan the Barbarian or UHF?

I really loved Red Dawn... Used to have dreams of holding a machine gun in my hand and yelling, "WOLVERINES!!!" LOL. When I purchased my AS guns, it's the first thing I did. LOL.

I still get weepy when I hear the quote from Partisan Rock...
"In the early days of World War III, guerrillas, mostly children, placed the names of their lost upon this rock. They fought here alone and gave up their lives 'so that this nation would not perish from the Earth.'"

Even as I typed that, I had the theme song running in my head! LOL.

I guess I'd have to nominate "Waterworld". Was a terrible movie that made no sense, but I found it entertaining non the less.

Arachnophobia has to be on the list as well as Starship Troopers 2, Smokey and the Bandit 3, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Weird Science.

A few that some people just don't get but which I think are some of the best movies in the history of moviedom are Raising Arizona, Zorro The Gay Blade and Hot Fuzz.

"Say, who wears the pants around here, H.I.?"

Loved Raising Arizona! Nice pick CAV. Hot Fuzz is too actually good for me, but dang it sure is. I need to watch Zorro..

Thanks for the info., I was pretty sure it was something horrorish w/o zombies. "Straight to Hell" doesn't sound very zombiesque, Maybe if it was "Straight to Hell, After Some Time in Limbo as Your Corpse Remains Animated for a While" or something like that...lol.
