Pugs, the polar bears don't eat the dogs, usually, anyway. I think the original male bears were removed for some reason, and "rogue" males then killed a couple dogs.

Oh dear. I thought they were just playing and it was very cute. Did those bears kill the dogs? That is heart breaking.

Pugs, not in that case. I saw that clip on a show about unlikely animal friendships. It was over a year ago, so I'm not sure if I rermember the story completely, but the dogs were near the bear's territory. Bears are curious and social by nature, so they would come explore.
