That's interesting. When Jenea Woods hatched the tri-color hoggy twins, they were tiny- like two grams!!
If I remember correctly. Half the size of the single babies. I wonder if the size is affected by whether the twins
are fraternal or identical. Hers were identical. I think most are.
This kind of fascinates me. How would fraternal twins end up in the same egg? With humans, identical twins start out as a single egg that splits, as I understand it, and fraternal twins are from two separate eggs fertilized by two separate sperm. But "egg" may mean something a little different with corn snakes than with human gametes. Does it? Can you have fraternal twins within one egg? Have there ever been examples of two different morphs hatching from the same egg? My imagination is captured.
Also: SO CUTE! I love that the twin-eggs were right next to each other so you could get them both in the same photos. I love them!
