Un-expected snake purchase

I went to a reptile expo today... i told myself that myself that i wouldn't buy any snakes yet, BUT! after i held this beautiful baby and put her back... she kept staring at me... Soooo... I bought her...

Now i need about a week till i get all my stuff in order for her new home but I was just wondering if this will do for now.

Do you have a way to take the temp in there? Be really careful not to cook her. Since you want to give her a week to settle in before you feed her anyway, I'd porbably just keep her at room temp and not take the risk.
 
Probably would have been a better decision to have the breeder/seller hold them for you until you could get everything setup.
 
I guess... But I was in a rush and stuff. All I need is a thermometer and a 10g tank and I'm set, I have everything else.
 
sorry. I'm still a bit new to the whole snake world. Apart from some spelling naming/spelling mistakes, having fun so far!
 
Congrats on the new snake...but I agree with the others, it's best to get her in an enclosure asap. Oh and make sure she can't escape out of the current one- hatchlings are great at escaping! Can't wait for pics and nice to see another canadian on board :)
 
Right now, you should be ok at normal summer room temps. Just as long as your new pet doesnt get over heated. I wouldnt even have the light on the cage. Most homes are fine for a corn snake at room temps.
 
Thanks for all the info. I'm keeping her by the window so she gets some nice warm air. I would love to take her out and take some pics of her but ill let her cool down a bit :p

All i need now is a nice enclosure and its done! I'll take a trip tomorrow. im guessing a 10g will be fine... up to a year i heard.

I would keep it away from the window.. you never know, a strong breeze could push container off the table or it could get to hot from sunlight.
Just keep your snake in a darken area until you get your new stuff.

That's what it was labeled... Ill took a video of it, ill save a screen shot tomorrow and post it. or maybe ill buy it and take photos of it :p
