What is on your 2009 want list?

I would love to see that elusive hypo Sunkissed anery hatch out in '09. as well as some lava and ice with "slap-you-in-the-face" bloodred het markers. A male dilute anery motley that survives past a few weeks (this year's escaped and was found and eaten by the cat) would also be nice, as would a pair of dilute anery stripes (or dilute ghost stripes). Discovering some hidden hets in my bloodred pairs would be good as well. And last of all, I would love for my opal female to actually lay some dang eggs in '09! The past 2 years, even after witnessing matings with a proven fertile male, I've gotten NOTHING from her....witch...

Anything else would just have to depend upon how my finances are.

Mmm ... that all sounds lovely Susan, especially the ghost sunkissed.

Corn-wise, I want 2009 to be the year of the caramel cinder!

I am hoping for

1.1 superdwarf retics
1.1 whitesided brooks kings
1.1 vietnamese blue beauties
0.1 albino burm (to pair up with my albino retic)
1.1 anery corns

As we herpers know the want lists can change at a moments notice when we find a "deal"..LOL

:dancer:

Looks like the last snakes on my 2008 wish-list are due to arrive next week, and the first snakes from my 2009 wish-list are now reserved and arriving in the middle of January ...

I can't wait! :)

Wow... my list also keeps updating itself. BUT, I'll put down what is ALWAYS on mind.

1. Candoia (Thanks, Elle)
2. Blaze phase brooks or goini
3. Ghost Striped male
4. MBK
5. Miami Pair

I'm surprised that this is IT! These ALWAYS come up when I make a list... sometimes others show, but they're forgotten when I see anything "these guys". LOL.

I'd want a clutchfull of pretty little butter motleys from my butter motley couple and another clutch with among other morphs (hopefully) ghost and coral snow het. motley.

I don't have any morphs on my "shopping list" for 2009 but that doesn't mean I wouldn't buy any... ;)

Something I'd definitely want for 2009 is a new HI-QUALITY digital camera for photographing my snakies! :D

Ooooh... has anyone made any albino bateaters yet? That'll definitely be an interesting project!

Nobody has produced albino bateaters yet. Bateaters in general are extremely difficult to produce, if you get them to breed they usually slug out. Every one produced has been from a male retic to a female burm (I guess female burms are easy..LOL). I might get a few female burms and try both my male retics with them to increse my odds at either normal or albinos. Aside from being one of the most beautifull animals I have ever seen , bateaters are said to have the intelligence of the retic (definitly the most intelligent snake I have ever worked with, some DO show signs of recognizing their keeper) with the easygoing nature of the burm, and they stay a little smaller than either parent. I WANT ONE!!

Where would a person procure f/t bats?! I didn't see any at RodentPro. :sidestep:

I've only met one easygoing burm in my herpetological experiences over the years . . . :shrugs: ;)

D80

Actually, my reptile store has a lovely burm named Aphrodite, who on slow Sundays is allowed to roam the store. Although they make sure the Pugs are locked up before allowing her out... no sense tempting fates :)

My 2008 list that is now my 2009 list...

I need a a Granite female.. no charcoal... but I want one dark...
I need a Charcoal male het motley... no anery...
I need a Pewter male... no anery... dark, dark, dark And it needs to be clear sided.... I like the stuff that has no markings on the side...
I need a blood female... again no markings on the side, either motley or het for motley...

hmm.. my 2009 want list... I'm actually pretty happy with what I have now, but I'm sure at some point I'll NEED to get more. lol, with that in mind...

racks
crested gecko
1.1 mojave ball pythons
leucy texas rat or blizzard corn
yellow rat
spider ball python
chondro (WANT IT!!!!!)
and... I dunno, a couple more leos maybe.

Ahh, Katie...I forgot somehow that I'd absolutely LOVE to have a leucy!! It's not imperative, but I definitely would like to have one at some point.

I only want one thing in the coming year, and that is a Dumerils.
You can't have one. :nyah:

LOL! You already know that that IS THE VERY Leucy that I want!! DYK that I'm going to come and visit with a very LARGE suitcase? ;)

It's great reading everyone's lists!!

I think 4 is enough snakes for me for the moment... BUT, someday I would love to have a Tessera Cornsnake (I think they are beautiful and I can't wait for them to come out for people like me to buy!!)

The more I think about it, my 09 wish list is going to be some nice show them off caging with lots of room for the snakes. I'm just about to get a new snake room (roommate moving out) and I can't wait to take them out of the living room and set them up right..
