i love my Maizie!
snake's name
as near as i can figure my snake is a snow w/ a "wash" of yellow...s/he is named Maizie...ya know..corn..maize duh...previous snows were Magenta & Jayrn...since i've been with my wife(yes she's really my wife here in mass)..we noticed that we both came in2 the relationship w/ pets w/ "m" names...hence..Magenta & now Maizie...i want 2 name a greyish corn if i ever get it...mouse -Nefer

Pictured is Slick, my first corn. I don't remember why I called him Slick, but he has a heart shape on his head and all the girls at my old high school like him best when I take snakes in, so it kinda fits since he has a way with the ladies
I also have a licorice black rat named Slim cause he's so much thinner than my corns of the same length, but he's young so that should change.
I have a female bairds and a female anery motley corn named Sheila and Tex. RvB fans should get that one.
My male bairds is named Bruce...just cause I thought it was a good name.
I have a pair of babies left this year that I may hang on to and I've been calling the male Dante cause he's so unbelievably evil.

i was really stuck for a name for me young'un, but as i got to know her, she looked at me with those pretty ruby red eyes..so i called her ruby "man am i an old romantic eh..lol

Well, they're in my sig, but here are the explanations:
J.D. = abbreviation for Juris Doctor. I thought (at the time) naming my first snake after a Lawyer's sheepskin was humorous. Now, I think the joke is lame.
Glutton = named herself on this one. Outstanding feeding response.
Ansel = my anery B named in honor of the renowned photographer.
Sassy = my Suri redtail boa, in honor of jazz singer Sarah Vaughan
As for the non-snake critter names:
Bo, my Lab, is short for Bodhisattva. In Buddhism, the bodhisattva is a being that forgoes nirvana (heaven, paradise, whatever you choose to call it) to show others the way to get there, the ultimate in selfless acts.....which is what dogs have always represented to me. It's also the title of a Steely Dan song.
Miles Davis = a male Betta that's "Kind of Blue".
Dizzy Gillespie = my male beardie. Think of Dizzy's cheeks when he played the trumpet, and you have a beardie dominance/fear display.
Rose Darling = my reddish-pink female beardie. Named after another Steely Dan tune.
