What kind of snake is this?

You know I have not said anything on any of your posts. But looks like another attempt to stir the masses here. Is your life that poor that the only thing that brings joy to you is seeing how much crap you can stir on here?

You are straining at a gnat on this one. The pic is of a king snake and the subject matter is about king snakes. One of the reasons they are called king snakes is because of immunity to venom and their amazing ability of viper control. I get a lot of entertainment out of watching snakes "do what they do" via constrict cute bunnies, pretty birds, and especially chimpmunks that is hilarious. But any way if my black king was immune to cobra venom I would feed one in a heatbeat with a bowl of popcorn and a video camera.

Nitelion94 - with all the trouble you have caused I think it would be a good idea if you just ship me the snake. But, you have to feed it 8 times before shipping lol. Congrats on it eating and now you have joined the KING snake club.

Fatman

No thanks to shipping it to you, Thanks for the congrats and This thread got out of hand and idk how was not meant to in the least

Nitelion - Make sure this one does not escape. You do not want it finding Penny because Penny is on the menu. LOL

Fatman

P.S. I just want to put in my 2 cents on what it is. My guess is a black x speckled king that way both bases are covered.

The subject is not; 'what to feed my king snake' or 'do you like to watch your king strangle and eat venomous snakes'. You are way annoying, just to be open about it, I reported this post.

There is not a rule about being annoying.

-Abusive towards other members (1 pt.)
-Inappropriate advertising (1 pt.)
-Profanity (2 pts.)
-Antagonism toward moderators (4 pts.)
-Racist/Prejudicial remarks (4 pts.)
-Actual or implied threats (5 pts.)

We can however make a custom infraction say for instance Antagonism towards other members if a person's posts become too disruptive.

Sorry Nancy if my report was not really necessary but this guys seems to know how to stay just within the rules yet stirring the pot. Isn't there a fraction for trolling in general :p

Do you enjoy dog or cock fights too? I think you're a little mentally derranged for enjoying watching two animals fight to the death.

No, there is not. But if circumstances warrant, we can make a custom infraction.

Darn.... How did I forget to put in that infraction for "Malicious and/or abusive trolling behavior"?

Well, I certainly can fix that error..... :grin01:

My finger was itching to press the button too... Normally I just stop reading and go elsewhere but that one really made my blood boil.

Well, I personally can't feed live lizards or toads to a snake, so you can imagine where I stand on feeding snakes to snakes. Good thing I don't care to keep cobras...

I wonder why it bothers me so much, though. If I had to, to keep a snake alive, I could feed a live mammal. I guess because I view mammals in general as food, including the ones I consume, and herps, in general, as "friends.". I wouldn't eat one myself.

I'm not upset by the idea itself but I find it repulsive that someone says he thinks a snake killing a squirrel is hilarious and such, especially on a snake lovers forum while hi-jacking a thread (excuse me for doing the latter myself too :p ) I hope he is just trolling for fun, and not really that cruel, that would worry me more.

Playing the devil's advocate. Probably going to make Beth hate me. If you feed your, um, live-only ball python a rat, everyone understands. But if you said you fed your BP a cute rat and loved watching him eat, everyone would hate you. The end result is the same.

I also found the post that ticked everyone off weird, but I think Lavender is just using descriptive, anthropomorphic terms describing natural prey items to...I don't know what he was actually trying to prove. Just saying that if you call the prey, live or dead, by attractive, pet-sounding terms, then snakes eating them sounds bad.

No, to me saying you would record it while eating pop corn ticked me. I must admit that when I started with snakes I had to feed some life prey because they refused f/t and I thought it was fascinating to see. But the struggle for life the mice were facing, made me not wanna watch it anymore after a couple of times. I can't understand how people can enjoy watching it, necessary or not.

Good point. To be honest, watching (on TV) animals catching and eating each other makes me feel bad for the prey, even though it is a fact of life.

Hah! Try feeding live rabbits to burmese pythons sometime. Listening to rabbits screaming got to me REAL quick!
