Gig 'Em Ags!! Whoop!!
Well...I was finally able to get out and take pictures of that Texas Rat with my film camera a little more and let it go when I stumbled upon something else lol. I was just shooting it down in this nasty little creek thats in my apartment complex and little did I know I was living 50 ft away from herp heaven! While I was walking down here my room mate and I stumbled across a little Rough Earth Snake that I picked up and looked at (no photos, sorry). Then after taking a few pictures I was hopping around the tree trying to get the right angle and I noticed a shed going up one branch. I tried to pull it off for my room mate to see and I realized it was probably from a green snake or a ribbon snake. I looked further up the tree and there it was...my first Rough Green Snake! It was awesome! I made a jumping leap for this guy and got him as I jumped across the creek. When I looked on the other side, I came up with this little guy and I was absolutely psyched! He's absolutely awesome, but his tail was damaged somehow and I'm guessing he's lucky he's still alive. There was a maintenance guy coming along the creek doing trimming and I figured the snake would be safer with me for now so he's in a tub next to me and he'll be let go asap. Hope ya'll enjoy the quick pics with my point-and-shoot!

Um.. THAT's not a rough earth snake...
Looks more like a Rough GREEN snake... I belive
Correct me if I'm wrong, though. Nice pictures!

I'm sure that's what he meant- but in the excitement!

Nice RGS! Poor little tail! I've only caught one.

Nice find! I've only seen one rough green snake and that was quite a few years ago. Looks like that tail is healing well and the snake should do fine.

AWESOME!!!!!! I spent most of the summer trying to find one of those.... so cool!!!!

I eventually found some at *BUM* BUM * BUM* PetCo.... they were extremely sick looking.
:(

A rough earth snake was found, but no pics.. then a rough green snake was found and pics were taken. Nice finds and fun pictures! That tail is odd though, I wonder what happened to it

Rough green snakes are very interesting. I'd like to keep one although I have heard that they are quiet difficult. I once saw one right next to my house.
