I know some people have racks, some people keep them in tanks, and some people keep then in deli cups or glad wear containers. I jus wanted to see what everyone uses to house they're hatchlings until they sell them. Also if you keep them in deli cups or other small containers like that how to you heat them and stuff? Any pictures would be great.
 
I don't like to keep mine in delis, the smallest containers I use are like entree sized gladware, when they outgrow those I move them to plastic tubs about shoebox size.
I use the repti heat cable to run under both sizes of tubs, but for heating something as small as a deli cup about the only thing you can do is keep the room at a consistent temp, it's hard to just heat one side and have a heat gradient in a deli cup.

GhostHouse, do you purchase your containers at a discount department store like Wal*Mart, or is there somewhere else you obtain them?
 
I use sandwich containers for the ones I hatch out. They're a little bit bigger than the delis. They come in a 4 pack at Walmart for about $3.50.
 
I keep mine in Deli's until they have eaten 3 times,
then they go into 4qt sterilites.

I don't shop at wal mart, but I did get them at a discount grocery place. There is also a local restaurant supply store called "cash and carry" that sells bulk plasticware, I get delis and water dishes (condiment cups) there
 
I live in Canada where we have Great Canadian Superstores, they have a house brand of sandwich containers which are apparantly almost the same size as american gladware type containers. I keep my babies individually in these until they are on large fuzzies.

They are lined with paper towel, have a 2 oz solo soufle cup for water, and a half a toilet tube for a hide. They really seem to do well in this set up and SO FAR I haven't had any problems with snakes who are rubbing the sides too much trying to get out ;)

My hatchling set up is similar to Jen's.

As they hatch, I put them all together by clutch. As soon as they eat their first meal, they go into their individual container so I can track their eating. I use containers that are about 4.5" x 6" and 1.5 oz condiment cups. I attach one condiment cup into the container and then put a second one in that one so that I have a removable water cup that is easy to clean. I start them off on paper towels for about a month or two. Then, they are moved onto the fine aspen. For heat, I line them up along a 15" heat tape that is upright along one side. That way, they can choose which side of their container to be on. They remain in these until I sell them. I feed each of them out of their containers in a deli cup.
 
Dollar general, 6qt (shoebox) containers 1 dollar. I use heat tape under the back side of the containers. I have about 100 boxes(over several years of collecting) and several shelves ready for this year. This year the shed will be the hatchlings home until sold or sold down to the bare bones.
I purchased, over the years, little serving cups(like apple bees uses for sauses on your plate) also a few from applebees magically appeared in my doggie bags. The are heavy enough for a baby not to spill and easy to clean in the dishwasher.... I usually feed in seperate containers however this year it may not be practical with the numbers I am expecting. With the numbers I had last year it was nice to get everyone out and check on them before feeding.
 
I have been using Chinese carry out containers. Now they aren't like most would think of when you think of carryout. They are around 2" tall, 9" long and 5 1/2" wide with a clear lid snap hold downs all the way around them. I have melted small holes with a Soldering iron around them too. They are stacked on top of one another tightly to insure no escapes. I haven't had a single problem with them and they are dish washer safe. Cost $.42 each. I buy 150 at a time and don't have to pay shipping!
