I've heard of people having trouble with Layne Labs (not answering phones/emails), American Rodent supply is not accepting new clients, and Big Cheese is supposedly closed?
The only issue that I have heard about Layne Labs is that it can take a couple weeks to get an order. Which considering that all of the rodent suppliers are trying to rebound from issues 8 months ago I don't think is that bad. And I am not sure about Big Cheese being closed. I hope that is not true since I was planning on placing another order in a couple weeks. lol
Actually South Florida Rodents is offering free shipping to some places and flat rate fee of $25 to others. So depending where you are it could still be cheaper. I personally found it cheaper to order online even when I just had two snakes. Granted I would order a year at a time and that was a big chunk at once but it was still tons cheaper in the long run. Now I use it as an excuse to get more snakes because just one wouldn't cost that much more to take care of. lol
Thanks for the info! Our closest local pet store is an hour's drive away and their prices start at $2/each (for pinkies). I ususally buy for the whole year at a time, so even though shipping prices are high, overall it's still cheaper for me to buy in bulk. (plus I have some friends who order with me and we split the shipping cost)
Anyone ever ordered from Loxahatchee Rodents in Florida?
You may want to check to see if there is going to be a reptile expo near you soon. I believe they typically have feeder dealers at them, so you may be able to get what you are looking for without having to worry about shipping.
Live adult mice are $6 each at the petshop here I breed as many rodents as I can. I have mice, asf's and a dwarf hamster colony going currently.
I hear even the frozen mouse supply is low in Canada. I ordered from Near North last time and had rats subbed in for mice. He asked first of course. If not it would have taken a lot longer to get them in.
ARS is a good place. Order $100 worth and shipping is free. I am a current customer with them tho. I also have more than 1 snake and they all eat twice a week.
Honestly ordering in bulk is nice online. Cheaper in the long run. If you order in bulk, make sure to vacuum seal the mice you aren't using. Order reasonably too, corns don't stay on pinks too long.

you can email a new supplier I just found, [email protected], accepts paypal and pricing is reasonable, shipping prices were excellent
his name is Ryan Beatty
We can personally say that Ryan Beatty is a great person to deal with and a great breeder. His rodents are packed properly and priced reasonably - we would recommend doing business with him.
