I would like to extend the offer to pay for a separate forum to house the Week In Review that Elle has proven to do such a great job on. I think it would be wonderful to have a 'home' for the review where it won't get lost in the clutter of general chit-chat etc. I have my own ulterior motives in that I need to move out one more snake, but I'm willing to sacrifice any profit on that snake in order to provide the Week In Review Forum.

The raffle will be for my gorgeous Anery Motley het Amel male (yes, the one that I have not been able to sell). His picture is located below.

Here's the particulars:
1. I will need $120 which will cover the $50 forum fee, $60 for shipping (yes, the winner pays NO shipping!), and PayPal fees (which I don't normally charge for, but with a bunch of different $$ amounts coming in . . . ). Continental US Shipping address only!!

2. Chances will be:
$1 for 1 chance/ticket,
$5 for 5 chances/tickets,
$10 for 12 chances/tickets,
$15 for 18 chances/tickets,
$20 for 25 chances/tickets.

3. I want NO money right now. I want to be sure that we can cover the $120 to take care of this as I don't want to be stuck returning money via PayPal. Please PM me your intent to purchase tickets. Once we reach the $120 needed, I will PM my PayPal account address.

4. I will stop taking donations at $150.

I will be gone on a fishing trip this weekend (Friday through Sunday), and will update everyone once I return if this thing takes wings.

Thanks for any interest. My sole intent here is to reduce my collection by one and at the same time provide a home for the WIR. :)

Awesome Brent. I can't thank you enough for this whole idea! And it will be great to have everyone in on paying a little to get a home for the WIR. Of course I will donate to the cause, but what If I win the snake?! LOL whos going to pay shipping.

You could donate it to a different person since shipping is being paid for in the raffle.

Thanks for the compliments on the idea. I just fell it was a perfect situation for myself to make my room and to support an idea that I think has proven to be a good one.

There is $30 committed so far, so 25% is in already (this may happen quicker than I anticipated!). Thanks to those!

Thanks for the bump laceyjane! We are at $70 committed so far, just $50 to go. Check your collections! This boy is a great breeder if you know what I mean . . . he loves the ladies! :) Anyone have an Amel Motley het Anery? That'd make for a nice mixed clutch!! Either way, I have enough so far to pay for the forum, just need to get shipping covered!

Oh excellent Brent. If only I could figure out how to use my pay pal account. I have had it for at least 3 years and never bought anything. I suck at online money...

I don't have a use in my plans for the snake if I win though, so if I win send it to Dean.

We have reached $130! Big thanks to 11 people so far that have contributed! I will accept up to $20 dollars worth of entries as I will stop the count at $150. IF those that committed get their $$ PayPal'ed (is that a verb or adverb?!) before tomorrow evening, I will attempt to draw a name tomorrow night. One problem is that I am going on a fishing trip and will be out of town (yeah) and away from my computer (yeah!) for 3 whole days catching whopper channel cats (yeah!!!). If it doesn't work out, I will have the drawing upon my return Monday of next week.

Again, if there is anyone else that wants to get in on the drawing, please PM me ASAP and I will respond with my PayPal address . . . that way I don't get anyone sending me money above the $150. :)

I've tried, but noone was interested in him outright. I, on the other hand, am very limited to my actual cage space so I have to move some adults out each Spring to make room for last season's yearling keepers, etc. It's not even that I want to sell him, it's more of a who is most expendable at this moment . . . I've said it before, but my wife is most a-scared of when we get an actual house to live in! The basement and garage are mine!! :grin01:

The idea of the separate WIR Forum just came to me. As a teacher and coach, fundraising for something works best when you have something people can "win". I win by moving out one last snake to make room, CS.com wins in getting a separate forum for the WIR, and noone is out more than $20 in a donation to the cause!

Oh Brent, just as I managed to figure out how to put money into my pay pal account! It takes 9 - 11 days though so I guess I am too late. If I had won, I would have given him to someone else too!

Thank you everyone who got involved with the cause. It will be lovely to have somewhere I can put the WIR! And thank you Brent for the wonderful idea!
 
If Tula can't make the donation through Paypal, count me in! Tula shouldn't have to pay anything towards this since we all appreciate what she's doing. I didn't see this until just now but I'd like to get in if I can.
