The winner is PJC Reptiles which would mean PJ AND Jay are the winners!!

I want to thank all that participated, and donated, especially for the opportunity to provide a forum home to the Week in Review! I'm off in the morning, so will be out of contact until late Sunday evening at the earliest! Hopefully I'll have some pics of some uuuuuggggllleeeee fish! :grin01:

Congrats again to Jay and PJ, I'll be sending a PM your way shortly!

And whats' funny is none of the people in the draw are on the board right now anyway!

Good luck with the fishing. Getcha a big Muskie!
No muskies on this trip. Pure, 100% uuuuggleeeeeee 20 lb. plus Red River of the North Channel Catfish on this trip!!! Good fightin', catch and release fun with friends and family! Just gotta be sure we make it across the border . . . of course getting across is usually not the problem, it's getting back in!! :grin01:

I'm out!

Well that certainly was fun! I loved the suspense of the "unfolding" pics....

Maybe when I have babies I'll raffle one off.....it seems to be a good way to get a fair price for the snake....and nobody is out much money at all.....

Plus it's a great way to justify getting "just one more" snake. I had already been practicing the line "I couldn't turn it down for JUST $10 SHIPPED!!" :grin01:

Congrats PJ! You are the proud winner of the raffle apparently!

I must say though...it was odd. For a drawing where you have 12 chances to win, there was really only one there because the name was simply printed 12 times on one sheet of paper...I have never seen it done like that before Driz...Arent you suppose to separate them out into 12 individual slips to create 12 chances? sorry just caught me as an odd way to do a drawing fella! :bang:

Enjoy your trip and catch some fish!

Well I think the only reason he did it that way was because no one donated a different ammount.
If someone had only 5 tickets and someone had 12 tickets and another had 20 something he would have.
But since you all donated the same amount you all had the same equal chance anyway so what was the point?

You may have a good point there as the thought process behind how it was done, but honestly, it was a bit off from the original idea. Its all in fun anyway! I certainly didn't want the snake (and neither did Dean whom I was gifting it to!).I am just happy that we were able to get together and get a forum set up for the Week In Review. That was great thinking on Brent's behalf .

EXCELLENT! I have been waiting to get home all day to see who won. Suprises, suprises. This was a great idea. Even if the snake wasn't involved I think it would have been a good idea to just ask others for a donation for the WIR forum. I know I would have been more then happy to donate something. I am however hubbled by winning this nice looking fella. I guess I have just become accustomed to not winning anything. This is a great feeling. Thank you to everyone who gave us congratulations as we appreciate it. Now, because we are the lucky recipient of this guy, in a good faith effort, PJ and I will either raffle a snake/product (for our non-US friends) or just donate the funds for next years annual dues for the WIR forum. I feel it is the least we could do. Thanks Brent for the chance to win this guy. Thanks Elle for all the hard work you do for the WIR. Thanks to all the members here at CS.com that make this site what it is. This is a great community of which PJ and I are honored to be a part of.
Jay & PJ

I have tried to spread some rep around. It let me get a few of you but others said I had to spread some elsewhere before I could give it to you. Sorry. :shrugs: I tried.
Jay

Congrats on the win Pj and Jay!

And Dawn, you're not the only one that was a bit bothered by the way Brent did the drawing.

Congrats Jay and PJ! You guys deserved it.

I don't think the way the draw was done was unfair, it's all in good fun and to be honest, who really cares! The snake is going to a great home.

Thanks Brent for organising all this!

Well, I was one of the late payers. I paid Sunday morning, obviously too late (just saw this thread). I was in the ER, oh well! Congrats to the winner!

What Corny Noob said, and thanks to 'the Noob' who saw the rhyme to my reason. She's exactly spot on with his explanation. I couldn't see the practicality of cutting up each sheet into 12 different little slips since it would not have changed the odds nor the percentage of entries for any one individual. There would be legitimate issues IF someone had purchased just 5 chances or 25. Yeah, then I would definitely have been forced to cut up each slip. And a raffle is certainly all about odds and percentages.

Again, I do want to thank all of those that participated.

As for the fish . . . :eek1: I'm tired!!, so no pics tonight. I just stopped by to check on things quick. Let's just say this being our 4th the year taking this trip, we outdid all the previous years. I'll post some pics soon.
