I did not realize that I could only make a post if it was in direct reference to the title. For that I apologize. Here was my exact question ... You assumed the Obama factor on your own.Have you looked at:
The title of this thread?
The fact that almost every post in this thread refers to Obama?
The posts where Obama and his birth certificate are specifically mentioned numerous times?
My quote from post #523 that you reference another member to in post #563
... Had I asked why is Obama covering up or why is Obama anti-American etc etc etc I could understand your position, but I did not I asked a general question about the office of the presidency. In my view the office is still above the man holding it.I don't know anything about this bill but why would it be considered "extremist" to require a birth certificate for the highest office in the country? My daughter was required to provide a birth certificate to get a driver's learning permit ....those extremists at the DMV

Semantics ... huh? Having a requirement and providing proof you meet the requirement are two different things period. I am required to pass drug testing for work, the test results are proof. I am require to be 21 to enter a bar and drink, showing a valid ID is the proof. I am required to have good vision to get a driver license, passing the eye test is the proof. I am required to live in our school district to enroll my kids, I had to take a utility bill with my name and address as proof. If the proof is inferred, if it is included then why the "extremists" whine from the liberal left media? Is this some kind of a semantics game?
don't you think that having "eligibility requirements" would necessarily include proof of meeting said requirements? The inference is there if you choose to ignore it so be it.
If that was a specific requirement of the constitution sure why not. At this time it is a specific requirement in the constitution that the president be a natural born citizen. So providing proof of that is NOT extremist it is simply an obligation to meet the requirement to hold the office.I guess if you wanted we could ask the president to submit to some DNA sampling to insure he/she is not a serial rapist as well? It is possible that he/ she may be, so why don't we do that as well?
I guess I would just choose to assume ( yes I know the connotations with this word) that somewhere along the way if there was a problem with any of this it would've surfaced by now...
How is the flu Obama's fault?I'd been scheduled to do an NPR call-in show about reptiles for over six months; Charlie Green and I do this every show every spring. I just got bumped for some swine flu doctor after rearranging my schedule and prepping for the last few weeks. I'm really ticked off at Obama right now.
It's extremist because presidential candidates didn't just fall out of the sky.
How is the flu Obama's fault?
Right fair enough lol, tho having seen americans discussing obama some would probably blame him, he is the devil to some it seems!amusement, as a witticism, a short and amusing anecdote, or a prankish act: When I blame a president for natural disasters or epidemics, I'm joking.

Why was he accused of that:Such was the fallout when U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, R-Rockledge, introduced legislation last month that would require all presidential candidates to submit a birth certificate when qualifying to run. Posey said the intent was to prevent a repeat of what happened last year, when fringe critics of then-candidate Barack Obama questioned his citizenship.
Instead, the bill fell flat — it has yet to attract a co-sponsor — and Posey took a beating from late-night comedy-show hosts and liberal media, who accused him of kowtowing to extremists in his party.
and then you say...He now says that he has "no reason to question" that Obama — born in Hawaii to an African father and an 18-year-old American mother — is a U.S. citizen. Initially, though, he told the Orlando Sentinel that he couldn't "swear on a stack of Bibles whether he [Obama] is or isn't [an American]."
So if that is indeed the case then I guess I owe you an apology for so ignorantly thinking that in a thread about Obama, in a post that I made about Obama , from a quote I copied that directly references Obama, that you cited in a following post as the reference to your question,to my post about a bill that was inspired by detractors of Obama in which the words: presidential candidate, birth certificate and "extremist" appear and in which the name Obama appears four times, that I could possible have thought that there may be some small inkling of a reference/connection to Obama...my bad.You assumed the Obama factor on your own.
Did you read the part about how NO ONE even the "extremists" within his own party were willing to back the bill, why the "extremists" whine from the liberal left media?
Who let you out? rofl....It was once said that a black man would be President when pigs flew.
Well, behold - 100 days into the presidency, Swine Flu...
Uh OK, This is kind of a " A Beautiful Mind" thing right? Just take your meds Wade and listen to the nice doctor...the funny white suit is for your own protection...If the Chief offers Juicyfruit...take it...This isn't really me. I’m in the witless protection program. Don’t tell anyone you saw me OK?
...If the Chief offers Juicyfruit...take it...
What are you?! Racist?! You don't like black nylons and black garters?!?!11111I have always been attracted to women in white uniforms. Don’t know why. White nylons with white garters….
Rachel Maddow. Though I think her words were right wing extremism and right wingnuts. I should have underlined instead of using quotes to emphasize, for that I am sorry.OK, So who said it would be in your quote "extremist"?
... to which I asked a simple general question that contained NO reference to Obama whatsoever. And which clearly stated I didn't know anything about the bill.WASHINGTON - Making national cable news can be a coup for a freshman congressman — unless the show is the satirical Colbert Report and its anchor calls you "part alligator" while mocking one of your bills.

"I expected there would be some civil debate about it, but it wasn't civil," Posey said. "Just a bunch of name-calling and personal denigration. ... There is no reason to say that I'm the illegitimate grandson of an alligator."

I clearly owe you the apology because I posted a non-Obama question in an Obama-only thread. I was also lazy in not cutting out the irrelevant parts when quoting, which I normally do. I will do my best in the future to avoid doing this.So if that is indeed the case then I guess I owe you an apology for so ignorantly thinking that in a thread about Obama, in a post that I made about Obama , from a quote I copied that directly references Obama, that you cited in a following post as the reference to your question,to my post about a bill that was inspired by detractors of Obama in which the words: presidential candidate, birth certificate and "extremist" appear and in which the name Obama appears four times, that I could possible have thought that there may be some small inkling of a reference/connection to Obama...my bad.
Again I know nothing about the bill. And most of the lobbying I do is for less government not more. But I do back our Constitution so when it requires a candidate be a natural born citizen I see no issue with said candidate having to provide proof he/she is. The only official document I know that does that is a birth certificate.Did you read the part about how NO ONE even the "extremists" within his own party were willing to back the bill,
So, I guess the only people left to back the bill are you and Posey.
I would say "good luck", but I wouldn't mean it.lol...
...by ALL I don't mean Obama I am referring to every potential candidate whether they be a man, a woman;a republican, a democrat, an independent, etc, etc;of any race;of any religion, agnostic, atheist, etc, etc....;
lol Actually don't they have to be over 35?! :grin01:This country will elect an atheist when pigs fly.
Oh, and you forgot one more section on your disclaimer: "All models are over 18."
What? :grin01:
Dale
lol Actually don't they have to be over 35?! :grin01:
