Flu - Cranky '09 Hogg Island boa cross

RobbiesCornField

Bring it on.
He wouldn't let go of the hook! At least not until I set him down on the aspen. If I tried to hold him, I got hissed at, and he would squeeze the mini-hook. Goofy li'l mini-boa.

Thanks for looking!

He's lovely :) Do you hook train all your snakes, or is it only necessary for ones that will get very large?

I prefer hook training all of them. Because I have so many, even with the snakes that remain smaller, they get hooked because I don't feel like getting bit every time I wanna take one out. But I do put more emphasis on hook training the ones that will get larger. All of my baby boas and my burm get hooked at least once or twice a week. Deal with a 20+lb pissy boa without a hook? Or a 200+lb burm without proper hook training? I think not. Even though this guy isn't going to get nearly that big, it still makes me feel more comfortable, because his bites can still back a punch when he's 5+ feet long.

in these pics it -is- more obvious that he is indeed a cross... but he has quite a lot of Hog Isle in him...
great looking cranky dude! :)

You know he doesn't look very happy. You could send him to me.....just saying....:D

:roflmao: Nah, he's just grumpy because I woke him up. :D

Thanks, Oren!

Did we mention that Selena is three feet and definitely knows the difference between metal hook and tasty human flesh? :)

Oh goody! Something to play "Are You Ready For A HOT!" with! :grin01:

Very nice.. I have a female like that. Oh, wait I forgot.. All females are like that. Hahaha.. Running away now.

You boys better duck before I come and find you;)

My male hisses at me when I pick him up too for a few minutes actually, but then he stops and chills out. Yours looks so sweet not at all mean and cranky:)

Beautiful wee boa :) And despite being a cross, I think he got the better half of the gene pool, as that boy has some nice Hogg characteristics!

I ran! Lol.. And came back in a hungover state of mind.. So, do what you want with me.. Lol, my heads throbbign to much to notice what you say
