DAYTONA 2010 OFFICIAL THREAD

If you buy anything from me...we can work out shipping later. ;)

Thank you, Jeff!

Carol, I may have to take you up on the shipping option. I just booked our flights, and we had no choice but to depart Daytona at 6:45am. That might be too early to ship (as well as wake up, LOL)

I don't believe the hotel offered a salad bar only option. I can double check though.

No biggie, we can always get both from Uno, just thinking outloud. :)

Thank you, Jeff!

EWWW! That is REALLY early. Which airport?

Daytona...but it looks like our hotel (Homewood Suites) is less than a mile away. That is good anyway.
Every single flight home departed at the same time!

That's not too bad then, it IS really close. Happy to hear you'll be at the Homewood Suites as well!

Finalizing my plans.. looks like flying into Orlando is cheapest..
need to find transport to Daytona at 7pm..
Leave from Deland Monday at 256p and will take anything
I may buy with me.. No shipping this time.. HeHe..

Gene, are you saying you might be taking the snakes on the plane? Can we do that? I would do it if I thought for a second I could get away with it!

LOL, No Beth, I'm taking 4 days and riding the Train home.
It's free and They don't check my carry ons. So as long as I
don't advertise they are there I'm good to go.

OG is a bit too pricey for me!

And I believe only a select few restaurant are allowed to cater in the hotel.

Is this Olive Garden nearby?? They always do a nice job w/ catering.

We could do Meat Lasagna and Baked Cheese Ziti (no meat), salad and bread sticks.

The only restaurants we can use are Hooters, Ruby Tuesday and Pizzeria Uno's due to the agreements they have in place with our hotel.

Last I heard, hubby won't be able to make it this year. I haven't talked to him yet about the children (haven't talked to them either other than that Charlie wants a friend for his Lyme disease). Since we often get a room for free from friends in payment of watching their pets during their vacation, I will have to wait on booking a room. At last minute, I can usually find a cheap room somewhere within walking distance of the expo, so I'm not worried about that.

I can start collecting insulated shipping boxes of various sizes (with ice packs) from work for anyone that might want some. I get it all free and I always hate having to throw them out. I've been reusing those boxes for 2 years now and they work fine for snakes.

Thank you Joe and Gene for clarifying that!
I thought it was too good to be true!! :)
