DAYTONA 2010 OFFICIAL THREAD

Just so you know...I'm allergic to tomatoes and I don't eat salad...any chance on getting breadsticks or something? Or pizza without sauce? I'd be happy to pay a little extra if I have to in order to get food I can eat...

I would think some white sauce pizzas would do the trick! I don't know any pizza joint that doesn't offer some sort of white sauce pizza now.

Hooters or pizza both sound great! But I agree about the pizza - let's order some white pizzas with sauce on the side (be sure to specify NO tomatoes, or I think they will put a little tomato sauce on even the white pizza) for those who don't like, or can't eat, tomato. And let's charge enough so that nobody will go away hungry. I don't know if we want to charge less for those who want salad only, or just one charge fits all.

Maybe a couple of people would want to offer some cookies, brownies, etc, as DOOR PRIZES? Then we would have the fun of winning them, and if there are plenty to go around, the winners would probably share them with others? And we wouldn't get in trouble for bringing our own food, lol! OR - maybe those items could be door prizes for a WHOLE TABLE? One table might win brownies, one might win chocolate chip cookies, etc, etc. Those items could be a grab bag win - you call out the door prize item and the table # that won it. That could be fun!

Mwahahahahaha, more victi.. er, guinea pi... I mean taste testers for my baking skills.... :grin01:

There is a sauceless cheese pizza, it says there are tomatoes on top but I'm sure they can be left out.

I saw this feature on Uno's website....

So does that mean everyone can put thier own order in ahead of time and just have it all ready to go at the same time? I wonder if you pursue that option if everyone can pay for their own order as well......

Well I just played with it and it didn't give the invitee the option to pay, but then again I never finalized and sent in the order. Something to look at though.

I would LOVE to do that...but I suspect it would be a nightmare to figure out, if they even allow it. But if it is doable as separate checks to get whatever you want, it would be great! They probably charge a fee for the delivery / catering, but we could all split that, if they would do it that way.

It's through catering, so I think they send us a list of options to check off what we want rather than showing up with just an assortment. I would send KT a PM or email with any allergies or dislikes, and she can take it from there ;)

that is how catering USUALLY works.

I'll actually talk to the GM tomorrow because they do it differently depending on the amount of people and location, (obviously more choices at their location). I'll get all the info when he contacts me tomorrow. I suppose it's safe to say there will be over 20 people, lol...

You know what I was thinking about last night - what about tshirts like last year? I know we didn't sell a lot of them - really not sure why either - but do we want to do them again? I personally enjoyed having one.
If we do - we need to quickly find an artist again this year who can come up with a new design for us and see if we can find someone with a Cafe Press website (or someone willing to set one up just to sell some shirts).
What do you think?

I want T-shirts! I think I have one from last year that I won as a door prize, that I can't find! I wear the lime green one all the time, though.

I have a Cafepress account, that's no big deal, the big deal is getting an image of high enough quality to reproduce on a T-shirt.

I wish we could get Mindy (V_Various) to draw something...

I will send her a PM and see if she would be willing....
